Nova Torps - Andrew_Bonesovich - 07-14-2009 Nova torps work well, at least for me. The reason why Novas start hanging behind you in space might be because of lag, ping etc. They are fairly easy to hit against larger cruisers, some transports and Battleships. I also hit a corsair gunboat with it once. You just need to fire them from larger distance, then they can gain full speed and start tracking. Btw, does -one- CD really blow it up? I was shooting Nova torpedoes with CDs once, and I needed 2 TCDs to blow it. Nova Torps - Saronsen - 07-15-2009 To a few things I've read.. The "hanging" in air happens alot, as it chills out, and then bursts into speed. The other Torpedos gain speed instantly, unlike the Nova. The, cant be used against fighters, is a lie, I Nova fighters in my Roc and Mjolnir all the time, it's a matter of timing and guesswork. The nova is so dangerous that, when launched, if so much as a tiny peice of debris comes near, it'll take you, or your shields, out. EDIT: The only time a Nova was shot down for me, is when it was hit by a mine, direct fire, or a real missile, never has it been Disrupted. |
