Its a Cartograph - elgeeko - 06-30-2009 I have a shot lying around here somewhere, let me go dig for it.... EDIT; aha, here it is; As for why I did it from Toledo.... I like the Order and I LOVE the Bastet. sue me;) (and I had to go out that way anyways to examine the Omicron-90 Nebulae, so I had a good saved game.) And if Gallia changes color, its not that hard to change the color on the map. anything is possible with layers. Here is a screenie: http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk206/g...2009_191731.jpg And here one with the House Flags: http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk206/g...2009_191909.jpg ' Wrote:And if Gallia changes color, its not that hard to change the color on the map.Yeah, of course, just wanted to give a heads-up:) Its a Cartograph - elgeeko - 06-30-2009 Personally I'd actually almost like to see more straight cyan in Gallia since theres very little of it in Freelancer. Most of the green/blue shades are either green, teal, purple, or blue. And yes, no offence but your maps simply have so much precision and detail that they just work better on a larger scale :) (though Id still be curious what the first map would look like with a classic grid.... I do think that house flags may be trying to fit too much into the small space though. imagine that with more of the gate and system icons filled in...) Its a Cartograph - farmerman - 06-30-2009 I do like the idea, though I always thought the red was less than that. For instance, it's just barely there in Dublin, Cambridge has an area where it's clearly fading, and it's only over half of Manchester. I thought Gallia had Bretonian backgrounds as a result of new ones not being implemented yet more than anything? So really, I'd envision it as more of a red cloud like the area in the Sigmas, only centered approximately like the following, instead of mirroring the Barrier. I'd also love to see a system to the south/southwest of Edinburgh with a large red cloud, much like Omega-7, but redder. Its a Cartograph - elgeeko - 07-01-2009 Well for now I think its ok for the red to be there since thats whats there in Gallia, if it changes in any way though rest assured my penchant for Obsessive compulsiveness will see to it that there is a new nav-map version lickety-split. The reason the red extends as far as it does is to cover all bases. (the wispiness accounts for fading or systems with only partially red backgrounds etc) I may indeed move the red Bretonian part though depending on how systems change with the next version of the mod. As for a 'red soup' system where you suggested.... sounds cool  Ever since seeing Wrath of Khan Ive loved thick nebula systems. Its a Cartograph - reavengitair - 07-01-2009 Guys. Gimme a tutorial. PLEASE! Quote:When you (reavengitair) suggest the Sigma cloud extend into Rheinland, I think you mean the Omega cloud right? the orange one? I mean the dark cloud near the kuasri cloud next to the green cloud. because in reality, there isnt a big hole between the Sigmas and Rheinland. I like both of your versions. Sleipnir, you just needa fill in da gaps! Anyway, enough being annoying. *gets beaten with stick* |
