Notice: Rule loophole: Bombers - Fellow Hoodlum - 06-28-2009 Just turn your chat time on, always been recommended in the past, and always will be. Makes the processing of any screenshots a whole lot easier. Hoodlum Notice: Rule loophole: Bombers - Benjamin - 06-28-2009 If I hit someone with ~3 volleys in a row in a dogfight, I realise they're typing and stop shooting and feel bad. I don't even want to kill someone unless it genuinely represents me killing them legitimately and fairly. Otherwise it doesn't even mean anything. Notice: Rule loophole: Bombers - Markam - 06-28-2009 theres a new option for auto thrust, set it to a key and mouse flight, fly around in circles while you type your message, ive always drifted about personally, this hasnt happend to me, though i fight in groups most often and probably type fast. Notice: Rule loophole: Bombers - Eppy - 06-28-2009 D'aww. Considering the number of other ways players legitimately screw each other over, I'm not going to get more riled up than I am by default. Notice: Rule loophole: Bombers - Monster - 06-28-2009 Like many of you may now know I have never played on the official discovery server but I have to disagree with this complaint about attack with warning. First, supprise, How in the world are you ever supposed to supprise attack anyone with this rule in place. Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Notice: Rule loophole: Bombers - Cellulanus - 06-29-2009 Monster, that rule is in place to prevent people going around PvP whoring with absolutely no role play. It doesn't work perfectly but I'd hate to think of what would happen if it was revoked. It's a server rule. Maybe you should go read those before commenting. Until you've played, your position on whether or not it works is invalid. Until you make up for the "Rogues need a battleship" thread, your position on anything Freelancer related is invalid. You don't play here, you've said it yourself. How can you possibly know better than everyone here? Surprise attacks are still quite possible, jumpgates and such are prime locations for it. Liberty fleet jumps into Hamburg? "Hey, look what the cat dragged in. All fighters, break off and engage at will!" They'll be disorganized, but they'll have a chance to go down fighting. Ganking people just gives you a blue message and an unhappy player. We try to avoid having unhappy players without good cause. Honestly, if you want anyone to listen to you, shut up until you've played here for at least a week. I'd say a month, but you'll probably have gotten the general idea of how the server runs. Keep this up and no one is going to even pretend that you're a person. I wonder if Skynet is missing an "Oppose-a-tron"... Notice: Rule loophole: Bombers - frozen - 06-29-2009 first and foremost rule for discovery. NEVER SIT STILL. you will NEVER find my chars sitting perfectly still, specially around mercs, freelancers, or even hunters, since they are the bastards that sell you out the most often. Notice: Rule loophole: Bombers - El Nino - 06-29-2009 Aye I fully agree with Frozen, you might set your chattime on, and make screens bore admins with your sanction reports... Or you might aswell move...;)guess wich one is more inRP... Also, I think pirates can still engage without warning, but just not destroy their target without making a demand... It might not be sanctionable, but is it making the experience good for the victim? I've always been big on making the experience fun for the other guy. Granted, I'm a terrible pirate because of traders' tendencies to shoot or run when they know you're typing a response. I'm too merciful under most circumstances. |
