Aeon, he *DOES* respond, but give the guy a break. He's working a job, dealing with real life stuff and you want to smack him for not responding to PM's? He gets HUNDREDS a day. He doesn't have time to respond to them all. Korrd and I barely catch him on MSN at any time

I must say that in my very short experience (I've just sent Igiss a couple of PM), I've always got a reply. Be patient Aeon, you'll get it, too. Nothing more to add.

I have a PM with him somewhere saying some of the DOs and DON'Ts of system editing.. I know he said NOT to enter in new jump holes as it has a better-than-average chance of crashing the server. Though if he enters it in, there is less chance of corruption when files are transfered, making it less likely.

Err.. I've NEVER seen him on MSN. Just ICQ.

If the admins let vanilla systems, Vespucci won't be special anymore. We might've been able to have gotten Magellan...

The Battle For Corfu - Koolmo - 01-23-2007

Well, those systems will still be cool, i certainly liked it.

I believe Igiss' last word on the topic of system design went something like this...
Systems for factions

So basically we give him a rough idea and he'll take care of the nitty gritty.

Ahh.. Alzheimer's. A substitute for novelty among the old. I even posted in the bloody thread!

Thanks, Romer.

The Battle For Corfu - Aeon - 01-24-2007

lol guys, take it easy.

but you know, 2 and a half months goes by and you do start wondering...

The Battle For Corfu - Dab - 01-24-2007

It'd probably be easier just to ask current modders questions about the specific things your having trouble with, or want to know how to do. Your likely to get a more in-depth answer than that a tutorial would give you, because the person knows exactly what you want.

The Battle For Corfu - Aeon - 01-24-2007

i wasnt asking him about how to do stuff dab, it was regarding our system purchase. i pm'ed him because i know igiss does all the stuff with system purchases. but i went through wolfpack for approval because i know he's active.

oh, and wolfpack, you havent taken the money off my trader yet.

Might i gently suggest we need a Topic: Application for System Ownership.

From what I'm hearing, we're basically looking for confirmation of our various applications, at the least.

Has Vespucci been "deeded" to the HF, or not..
Has SCRA been deeded Omega Whatsis, or not?
And Dab, you seem rather confident that you're getting the Zoner Guard System.. how was this verified, and can the rest of us see it in writing as well, please?
Likewise, though both the BSG and the ELF/FSFP have declared their intentions towards our systems, it was done in RP threads, (i believe), and not sure if followed up in P/M (Yngen?), or acknowledged.

So.. a dedicated place for Applications/Requests, and a dedicated place for acknowledgements, and either approval or denial. Seems like it would vastly simplify the process, cut through the confusion and angst, and be an official record for any further questions or disputes on the systems in question.

Wolfpack, perhaps you could create the topic, and provide us a list of the "confirmed" systems so far, including perhas whether the 400 Mil squatter's fee has been paid, is on deposit "somewhere", or is still at the "lick and a promise" stage.

Give us a place to start, at least, and a place to refer to for news on all the above.

or, Five Tons of Flax.
