Whats the worst that could happen? Get aggroed and killed? I can take that... it would be a noble way to die.

No, the getting killed part is easy. Of course I'm talking about you getting sanctioned. The rules regarding ZOIs and IDs will take care of you going cap-raiding. The only BSs that have even a reason to go around in Sirius are Zoners (I doubt you'll get Nomad or Phantom ID) and Zoners are not in business of blowing up pirates or protecting traders.

But, fine. You try whatever you like. Who am I to give any advice, right?

Happy trails.

Silverleaf.

- Have you flown a Light Fighter, Heavy Fighter, Very Heavy Fighter in intense combat? (And lived/won)

- Have you downed a capital ship with a bomber with other bombers?

- Have you piloted a gunboat and seen what it can do for you in intense situations?

- And last but not least. Have you started and -COMPLETED- the Single Player Campaign?

I've been playing freelancer for many years now but that doesn;t matter according to server rules.
I've done all of those at least a few times. Played SP like 5 or 6 times through.
I have pirated before too, just not gona do it again.
I wish we could go back to the golden days of freelancer where we had 50+ servers, ALL populated heavily. Just newish (100+ hours already) in this RP thing and all.

And I think its a worthless question because no one here, or not anyone I;ve met, have not played freelancer before. With a game thats not even on shelves anymore, do you really expect new players?

Also, think I'll get my answers by digging around myself, and not get flamed by a forum that flames for asking legitimate questions.
wow...

1) Bounty hunters are... BOUNTY HUNTERS. They do not work for free, and they are far from upholding peace or "keeping Sirius safe". Bounty Hunters will probably even go so far to NOT help the crime rate to drop below a certain point because it would hurt their own work you know? if there are no criminals, they lose a chunk of their income. What did you miss with "bounty hunter?"

2) You are most of the time asking questions which can be answered by yourself by exactly that "digging around". If you would have done that, you could see on the wiki or the respective ID thread, that you would be very restricted in the use of Bountyhunter battleships.

No, actually, I strongly believe the reason why you get "inadequate answers" (in your opinion) is the fact that several people become more and more convinced that you are totally missing the point of this Server. If you are searching for "t0t4l pwn4g3" and pvp your heart out... then you are perhaps on the wrong train. If you have to use the terms like "raids" then you are perhaps on the wrong train again.

If I continue to read what people are answering to you and what you are responding to them, I get the following impression; You seem to only read what you want to read and you seem to ignore the essence of the advice that has been given to you all over again...?

On the long run it seems you are on the best way to get sanctioned more often than you can play?

Haven't you learned anything from eve? The biggest there is even MORE far from being the best as it is here on this server.
Also, can you see that people start viewing you as the lolwutters they dislike?

the experience you gained in singleplayer is not exactly that worth in multiplayer. And in general regular Freelancer Multiplayer experience is worth not that much when considering the changes of Discovery server.
Flying around a bit in a ship does not make you "know" the ship. Lets take eve again; only being able to FLY a ship is nowhere near to FIGHT in the ship.
Do you know how many people have been playing freelancer BEFORE they joined this mod?
Do you know for how many years this mod has been around? (hint; Forum start page; 4 years anniversary)
Do you want to be handed out a medal for showing us your very greatness for how good you have been in the golden years? As you mentioned yourself, on Discovery you only have a small part of experience when it comes to RP. and yes, the RP thing is new to you. And yes, many people tried to give you advice. And yes, I have the feeling you ignored most of it. I wait to be proven wrong.

Once again. Fail.

True fact: If you want POWER in discovery - use fighters. Cap ships do not get you anything.

hm, just one thing. last corsair raid, that i was part of it, was like 8 bombers.
you know how long you can survive in alpha/malta against bombers?
yes. less as 10 seconds. so feel free to raid gamma with your rheinland/kusari bs. we will welcome you
we need target practice against lol battleship...

My god, SilverLeaf, you are becoming the embodiment of the lolwutter here on the forums.
As many people in this thread have stated, Battleships are not "biggest and best", And will be DESTROYED by 2 bombers who know what they are doing.
You want a battleship that can go anywhere, to destroy pirates, while pirates, at thier maximum ship class, fly Gunboats.

And you were seriously thinking of raiding MALTA with a Liberty cap? You my friend, are most definetely, either a pvp-whore, or a genuine fool.

'fraid to tell this but..there is no such thing.
There isn't a faction or group in the Sirius Sector that can move freely without rp consequences.
