Yes, I understand that this money would not be going to you. What I am saying is, if you have enough credits to purchase a BS, why do you not have enough to give 200k to new, beginning characters?

Also, I don't think there are going to be any completely fresh, brand new players until the update with the new IP.

So right no i can help players with this:
-making new rp, both lawful and unlawful
-making money by trading and smugling (if you have some sort of easy and short route good for newbs please post)
-explaining weapons groups, weapon types
-getting weapons fitting player needs
-escorting on trade runs
-buying starter ships (buying them new ship for start)
-finding equipment (explaining whats armor upgrade and why is is so useful, also whats scanner ETC.)
-helping them in later and more complex RP

Well I doubt they need a mil. While making money to the rank 40 they get a notice how the game goes. Witness chats of other people and such. Atleast get familiar with the game until they actually picks up a role in Disco. So Im quite agianst giving out money.

Anyhow. Yes I agree about those comapnies. YOu can se it now. Bunch of high rp groups who whines about lolwutters but doesnt do a hell about it at all.

An example OPG-rats.. we tried to change that. Anyhow only got flamed by most of the people, not carrying about effort which is being put. No wonder it crumbled.

But agian what you could help its give directions to forums, information about gameplay and such. Not giving out money, becouse wont help at all. And at teh first point I stated, your not very well aware as it looks. I say, play a game yourself awhile. Pick up a role. Get noticed abit yoruself. Then go outside and help others. Teachers studied too, you know.

Some of the most fun stuff to do was to work my way up from flying my starflea to flying the civilian freighter, working my way up from that to a Heavy Fighter, and from that to a Very Heavy Fighter. Then I had to work to get weapons and armor.

You are taking alot of that away by just giving them a million and a ship. Getting the first 100 kcreds was the hardest, but it was still interesting. The person who helped me didn't give me ANY money, instead, they helped me learn how to RP and helped me fly missions until I could afford my first ship that wasn't a starflea. IMHO, this is the best way to do it.

I'm planning on doing a similar thing, actually.

I'll see you out there, I suppose.

That scrap mining in a Starflea to get a Rhino, and the Rhino to get a Camara, then up to a 2k transport, and so on... That was quite enjoyable, honestly. There was always a buzz of activity and plenty of things I could wander along to watch, and to learn how things here go; I was by no means new to RP, but certainly new to RP with graphics in and to multiplayer Freelancer. Granted, a million isn't going to make much difference to that... But, still, I'd say refrain from handing out money.

Anyways, if you're talking to newbies, make sure to mention fair play and the importance of it.
