Whoever was flying the Maryland was pretty good to be honest, I was down to about 20 bots and I flied close to the Maryland twice for about total 60 seconds. Hehe, you call it unbalanced Harcourt? Should solaris turrets be de-nerfed ? - McNeo - 01-09-2010 Yes. The Maryland can decimate probably up to six bombers if their only target is the Maryland. This is of course theory, but Im pretty sure its right. It'll catch one of you out with its BRs, thats for sure. Also. For you Harcourt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL1lfSzgcAw Was me Sina. And trust me, it wasn't skill. It was point, click and die stuff. So we decided to have some fun before we went down in flames.. I'm sorry that you feel that this exchange is necessary. So basicly it was an admin gank party that engaged w/o notice ? The irony is I was coming out of cruise prepared to just sit there as the fighters engaged. I guess I have admin behavior as an example that fairplay and engagement notices can be ignored. Should solaris turrets be de-nerfed ? - Camtheman Of Freelancer4Ever - 01-09-2010 No. They're fine actually. Thats coming from a CAPWHORE. Its perfect really, except for one point which ill get to in a moment. The solaris allows SMALLER battleships to defend themselves without becoming uber. It makes it so they need some escorts, even though they probably will still die. Which is a flaw. The REAL problem lies at the larger dreadnaughts/juggernauts/RBS/KBS. The current solaris that works on smaller BS's does not reach to the end of some of the largest ones. We deserve our adequate defense too. Moljnir is working on this, i hope. A bomber requires 20mil+ and no strings attached. Hmm... Nah, if bombers without armour go after a solaris dread, they all get instakilled. 6mill for a ship 7mill for a supernova 15mill for armour 2 million for everything else That's conservative. Yep they were all admins ganking noobs without engagement notice and adding cash to their characters at the same time they were in secret beaming your back-up to Bastille. Should solaris turrets be de-nerfed ? - msgerbs - 01-09-2010 Wait wait wait is this about the fight I just witnessed in new york less than a half hour ago? Jesus people, enjoy your night THEN come whine on the forums. That way you can whine about your whole night and not just one (epic) fight. (My edit has nothing to do with this post. Boys, take your ritual testosterone postings somewhere else. If Harcourt wants to restart this thread - and keep it on target - I would have no problems with that. Otherwise - it's chubbed. - Agmen) Should solaris turrets be de-nerfed ? - Jihadjoe - 01-09-2010 ' Wrote:So basicly it was an admin gank party that engaged w/o notice ? Nope... Gank Definition: Outnumbering your opponent to the point where your opponent can't possibly win. Without notice definition: That would be where you attack without saying you're going to attack, or roleplaying first. Now, to clarify, we had fewer ships (four against five or six). We stated numerous times we were going to claim the bounty. So tel me, how is that in any way a 'gank without notice' ? Well, that's not true. The first screenshot demonstrates that your claim is either wildly inaccurate at best or, simply put, a lie. So you're either a liar or a malcontent. I'm hoping that it's the latter, but I can understand your frustration, it can be tough getting blown up if you think that the capital ship fleet you're about to drop like a ton of bricks on the four bombers is going to mop up like spilled pigsfeet in isle four. I wish that I could afford the lag to have taken more screenshots, it was a really amazing fight. Ironically I couldn't afford the screen lag because of the ruinous damage dealt by two the flurry of solaris fire. Anyways, Solaris turrets are fine and I think everyone (else) had a good time. Ended in an epic pair of duels in the badlands. I'm still floored that we were able to survive long enough to kill two cruisers with only one loss and two bombers shot to pieces. Furthermore: Battleship + Cruiser + Cruiser + Gunboat + multiple fighters vs 4 bombers = ASSMIN GANK FEST PVP RP!!?? D}:|= Should solaris turrets be de-nerfed ? - Zeltak - 01-09-2010 I also got killed! I didn't make a thread and cried about it... |
