Why dont we have more old ships in Disco.
Look at the infon on the Slave Liner, it says "The first days of mankind's exploration of the Sirius sector"
so that means the ship is 800 years old ?
And the Junkers, they salvage stuff from deris field, can't they find an old frigate and refit it to be a multipurpos ship, and sell it for money.
Isn't that what Junkers do, salvage wreks and equipment and sell it ?
No one asked for a state of the art ship, they asked for a cap ship.

I like this idea, it would be good for roleplaying, say a company CEO on a long diplomatic voyage to a distance system.

  • Ship Size: Large Gunboat
  • Weaponry: 12-15 Fighter Turrets (Class Five)
  • Power Plant: That of a Small-Medium Gunboat
  • Shielding: Transport level
  • Agility: Low - Medium
  • Speed: Medium
  • Ship Line: The same as the eagle.
Does this sound like a good place to start? That many fighter turrets could pack a punch if grouped correctly. (A few debs here and there paired up with some heavy hullbusters, etc.)

That actually sort of fits with a story/rp thing I thought up.

CTE (designers of the *'Raptor' line of fighter/bombers) decided that a 'Light Cruiser' would make sales in the current market.

It was decided to contact the Zoners and acquire the schematics of the 'Borderworld Transport' to base the new ship on, which they did.

Sitting around the boardroom table, looking at the plans for new ship, it was mentioned that it would need a name....

*note: I call the CTE series of ships the 'Raptor' line because they are all named after birds of prey, Falcon, Hawk, Eagle, Griffin, Roc.

Are you talking about Gallia again?! Geez.

Too late now I'm afraid. It's there and it's staying.
