Its good to hear you guys are organised. We sometimes get some... Unsavoury clans on this server. You guys seem like the opposite: willing to RP, organised and willing to register and follow rules/guidelines.

Remember to RP your trading group!

Good luck.

Welcome to the server guys, don't forget to read up on the rules and play nice, cause you realy don't want to make my LPI do any work..

Well now that there is some actual meat to gnaw on...
I suggest that you fellas check out the concept that the new Flying Tigers clan is running with. (RepEx is doing this also, and they have been established for several months, so we know this concept works). They are roleplaying as a division of a Freelancer commercial corporation (BOWEX, Border World Exports; Republican Shipping in the case of RepEx) so they have trade ships and another wing of combat ships for escorts. As you have no doubt noticed, the NPCs always have a transport ship with a couple of escort fighters, so this is a great basis for a commercial clan.
Most of the corporations in FL have no player clans actively associated with them, so you can basically have your pick from any of the colonies. Or you could go with the Gas Miner's Guild, which is sort of outside the colonies, and even has its own Guard system, which most of the corporations do not have. GMG might really be the best option for a highly organized group such as yourselves. And don't think that you would have to limit your cargo runs due to being GMG. Your employees would need all sorts of supplies, after all.
There are already tons of police, military, bounty hunters and mercenaries flying around. You will find that you will want permanent trading ships to fund your FL activities anyway, so why not roleplay all of it into one concept : a commercial entity that deploys combat escorts for protection (you can run a pay for escort service too). In the Freelancer storyline, GMG actually defeated the Rheinland Military in the 80 years war some time ago, so GMG has a solid storyline basis already in place for deploying a significant combat force. If you people are as organized and professional as your post suggests, I think GMG could be a fantastic fit for you. Additionally, it would fill a void in the Discovery server. So it's a win-win for everyone. You get a basis for your activities, and you provide something unique and useful to the Disco community.
Sigma 13 might never be the same again (we can only hope).
Trust me, GMG is the way to go (or something similar). Mercs are a dime a dozen around here.

^^ Points taken well into consideration and run them by my guys and see what they think, seems like quite the reasonable thing to do.

*chants 'please let this not be another police brutality faction' over and over*
Great, now if only we had more lawful police in Kusari...

sounds like a good first time group. Just learn the story around and act rply, and try to respond to other's hail. I was the LNS Citadelle de Quebec and you didn't answered 2 out of only 4 questions... and you were like 5 right in front of me lol

Yeah lets just say that 96% of the Members never played Freelancer before, so they were probably scratching their heads going "Are they talking to us? what do we do?" and "how the hell do you chat again?" lol

No worries I'll shape them up and get them up to par with how the game works, how chatting works in the game which is their biggest downfall is the chatting RP, so I will be giving them the low down on how to interact with the human factor of the server lol

Right now they know how to take missions and earn money that way, to leave people alone, and to stay together.

I am doing constant trade runs to give money to them and show them where to get ships etc...

Right now their learning how to handle their ships and get a general gist of the game, kinda like riding a bike for the first time.

They are learning fast and are absorbing the info like sponges, the first group are now more than able to fight and keep their own which I am proud to say, now to turn them over into the RPing portion and will have a lesson for them on that in the coming hours/day

Sounds good.

Good to see you training them up in all aspects of this server.

If possible, try and get all your trading vessels with the same type of ship. Just gives you a sort of uniform look.

Also, when you decide what faction you'll be, use their ships:). We don't really need more Raven's Claws (infamous LSF ship..)

So for Xoria's example, you could use the CT line (Civilian Griffin, Roc and Eagle) or the GMG's "Stinger" fighter.
