Outcast Snub Line - varoshanin - 02-19-2012 OC snubs should be fit to their nature and to the carda addict... everything close to their hands, small agile with less hull, similar to the BW line, their could have also some nomad in those line , ive seen dozen researcher inRP here that do something with nomads but on the end nothing happened from that. i just say it is possibility like for example "scorpion", maybe here some had ideas on that matter but like i just say just opinion. Rommie decided not to finish them, so I contacted massdriver. That being said, the model is awesome. Outcast Snub Line - Stefz - 02-19-2012 Barb, it's a nice ship but I don't think it would work. Looks way too Corsair-ish. Outcast Snub Line - Rommie - 02-19-2012 I find it to be too bulky for a LF. And Luis, I don't mind having someone else take over a request if his models are better. Not at all. Outcast Snub Line - Luis - 02-19-2012 ' Wrote:I asked Rommie to do those models to begin with. Rommie decided not to finish them, so I contacted massdriver. Excuse me then. Did not knew that you were part of the whole story here. Massdriver should continue his move, but I still think it looks hackerish. It don't need to look 100% alike. Outcast Snub Line - Curios - 02-19-2012 Why OC line should look like BW tech in the first place? Maybe OC would like to develop something entirely new? Who knows. Something in lines with their Caps. I think of the snub having something like Sarissa have on it's front. P.S. Just because we already have too many shiplines basing off the BW. ROS Hackers HF SCRA Maybe something else. So why not trying your creativity in making something not BW-like? Or soon we are going to end with having all new ships looking like a Sabre. Cammon D: Outcast Snub Line - Luis - 02-19-2012 Doesn't have to look like the Sarissa or the other Outcast Capital Ships. Look at Liberty: Fighters are considered to look like a bird (eagle) while their Capital ships looks like a hammer/axe. Bretonia: The fighters are considered to look like a fish/shrimp while there capital looks like a whale, manatee, horseshoe crab Rheinland: Fighters looks like a bird and resemblance to Liberty designs, instead they have straight wings. Capitals are TURTLES All the way! So, to conclude - Capitals and fighters could have a different design and shape. Outcast Snub Line - Azan27 - 02-19-2012 My suggestion for people trying to model OC ships would be to start with a chassis that looks very similar to the dagger, then start adding design aspects that are seen throughout the BW line. I would disagree with adding design aspects specifically lifted from other shiplines the OCs have come into contact with, because, quite frankly, they are smart enough to not have to reverse-engineer tech, but that doesn't mean that everything slightly gallic-looking or CR-looking is off the table. I actually really liked the first two models the Rommie showed, (the second one more than the first) and I really like the concept that Stefz brought up. Good work, man. Something in lines with their Caps. At least the HF did it first. (finger) Also you forgot the Rheinland Unlawful sabre. >_> But yeah uhh, I agree. Do something new and different for the 'casts. I actually really like Rommie's second attempt there. The body doesn't have enough depth to it, and it needs to mix some Bworlds textures in, but else it's really rather new and interesting. |
