Bounty Hunter actions regarding piracy - Clayph - 04-21-2008 Ex-criminals join Bounty Hunters because of protection they give to them. A freelancing Mercenary would get assasinated by their former brethren. On my BHG char I usually just sit near the battle and wait for the first offer, not jump in the fray with Battlecruiser as many people like to do. Bounty Hunter actions regarding piracy - DW-Suzanna - 04-21-2008 I know, but Raekur brought this up and from what I see in this discussion there seems to be a problem in the interpretation of BH role. In my view, If a pilot is in trouble then a BH or any other pilot should be able to help, if asked to, without a prior contract. I do not fly around looking for pirates to kill. If the pirate does not attack me or someone I am escorting, then it is ignored and allowed to go on his merry way. Bounty Hunter actions regarding piracy - Fellow Hoodlum - 04-21-2008 Suzanna, unfortunately there are a certain BHG element who don't think like you ... Bounty Hunter actions regarding piracy - globalplayer-svk - 04-21-2008 Suzanna, here are some very good rp-ed bh chars. but majority of bounty hunters are bounty hutners only because they can go anywhere and destroy all unlawulls. many tiems i was attacked and destroyed or i was winner and when i ask why? answer was because you are pirate. and when someone make that in gamma or omega5, that is irritating. Bounty Hunter actions regarding piracy - DarkSaber - 04-21-2008 ' Wrote:'Magnificent Seven' ... Don't like those odds, five of them died ... I'm stealing that for my sig I think! Bounty Hunter actions regarding piracy - Othman - 04-21-2008 I would advise bounty hunters to operate in systems, with bounty hunter npc patrols. Why? Because they already have a wide zone to operate in. As for the role, they are a guild looking for their own profit, not law enforcers. They look for easy profit without much effort. In a house system, they should get permission from the local forces before engaging a criminal for support. What we need is a bit more typing before holding the trigger, and all will get better this way. In remote or borderworld sectors, best is to act like a real bounty hunter would do. Look for profit, instead of heavy fights which would make you lose resources. Hold your trigger if the situation is too dire to act otherwise. Is a lawful pilot or trader being attacked in front of you? Spend 10-15 seconds to type.. Ask them if any help is needed and act according to the answer you recieve, instead of holding the trigger after typing 'Die pirate scum' Come on, things in universe ain't that easy. 'The Bounty Hunters Guild originally began in Texas but has spread to almost every system in Sirius, providing a broad array of security-oriented service for a reasonable fee' Bounty Hunter actions regarding piracy - rath - 04-22-2008 DW-Suzanna has it about right. I was a Bounty Hunter in real life (LAWFUL background). When I saw ANY illegal activity, and if police where not there to take care of the sittuation, I would take what ever action was required to provent loss of life and property. I'm not sure exactly how the Admins wanted BH's to be played, I would think like in real life. According to what I have read it seem's that Pirates and Police are wanting to dictate how BH's are played. I do agree that some BH's are not playing the way they should, drives me to the point of anger sometimes (most of my char's are BHG by the way). I hate making sugestions but,,,,,,,maybe more clerity on the ID, it does leave much room for interp. Love the game, the server, and all of you, be safe. |
