Yeah but hopefully he'll lose his official status so people who like to RP as that faction more can take his place. The alternative is the Conn-Officials continuing to drag the whole server down with their lack of activity but continued insistance that they be the ones with the official privileges.

That's the whole idea behind the tracker in the first place.

I'm not sure, you were too eager to respond me or trying to troll me, but anyway you ignored half of my post. For once I'll go with a first variant and repeat myself and maybe feed you.
Nobody will lose their status, simply instead of having fun in Conn, it'll be off plane idling while watching 2 hour movie.
And actually privileges shouldn't be used in plural, cause the only one exists - ability to request reputation changes, all others, like having ingame authority over indies and stuff like non-faction ships for training are hardly worth of mention, cause they don't give any actual benefit or simply don't work.

I don't think answering to a certain part of your post can be trolling, but I could have said in more detail why I think the other part doesnt really matter that much to what you said in the first part:
Of course people can sit around and idle watchign a a movie, but that will actually be very obvious. And I have seen it, no names given. I'Ve seen offitial tagged ships sitting in their guard system, not responding to pms for over 45 minutes. But that can actually be checked with server logs. Just because they can do that doesnt mean the other forms of time-buying shouldnt be tackled. As I said, its a larger problem than just /conn.
About the privileges, there are more than that one. And the one you named is actually ap retty impotant one. The reputation-adjust tool also gives people a sense of authority, which radiates further than just what its suposed to be. Like telling other players how to act so the official faction doesnt get upset. The side ballancing intended for events is also not only used as intended only for events ingame, some individuals of the official factions start applying it to every fight they see, even if they officially dont have that right. The other privilieges are: recruitment. Also very important, especailly for faction where ships and action arre restricted for indies. Another important one: the power of official diplomacy. You may have followed some debates about some rather strange Non-Aggression-Pacts lately. Some -really- -really- strange non aggression pacts. But... that's going off topic again, and I'd like to add that I was actually answering someone who said he was upset that I ignored parts of what he said.

I thought that warning was pretty clear. Still I see arguing here about things that have nothing to do with the original post. I'm shutting this down and dropping another warning. Stop it. Take it to private or file a report if you think someone is breaking the rules.
