RE: Is it true that Nomad stuff is overpowered? and.... - Veygaar - 12-13-2012 As a pilot of the Scorpion, I can tell ya it isn't Overpowered at all as of .86... In fact it's downright sucky in combat performance. RE: Is it true that Nomad stuff is overpowered? and.... - Stoat - 12-13-2012 Finally, someone realises the truth behind the supposedly horrifically overpowered Scorpion RE: Is it true that Nomad stuff is overpowered? and.... - Govedo13 - 12-13-2012 Since the last similar topic I done also some tests. Nomad ships are quite balanced towards other tech now. Their single overpowered ship is Irra because it moves faster then all other cruisers. Their VHF is joke, the bomber reminds me KNF bomber in handling(quite average) and the LF is not the OP brutal not hittable trollship that it used to be in previous versions, also the Scorp got hitboxed so no more point blank SNACs that move in the ship and out without doing dmg. The guns on other hand are quite nice, but on the same level of pornvipers, natters, krakens and almost all human 8,33s. Nomads need to be able to buy nomad cloaks on their stations with a bit better stats then human cloaks that run on liquid cardamine, it is quite doable that way. In general as known balance hater I must admit that the nomad stuff is ok now, the cruiser is a bit too good but it compensate for the lack of cruiser missiles/motars. Not to mention a laser, which had over 1000hull damage. The Irra is the only decent ship left for the nomads, more specifically it's guns. Nomad cruiser guns on human cruiser should never happen fyi. Everyone being so anti nomad-guns-on-human-ships, is silly, the Libertonians did precisely that in SP when their commanders got infected. Also nomads have never been about big doomship huge fleet attack, theyre supposed to be sneaky. Those are called "The Wild". RE: Is it true that Nomad stuff is overpowered? and.... - Silver - 12-14-2012 .85? Damn, those Scorp guns were like.. death on a rainbow. .86? Do Irras have different Thrusting speed on Discovery of Discovery and Disco RP 24/7 ? Because on Discovery of Discovery, while impulse speed is at 120, Thrusting one is still at 140. No difference whatsoever. Did I do something wrong? RE: Is it true that Nomad stuff is overpowered? and.... - Unseelie - 12-14-2012 Personally, I loved fighting voids in my vhf in 85 and before. But I'm a glutton for a beating, and don't agree that everything needs be balanced. Tell that to Toledo. Tell that to The Order's 18 year fleet buildup. Tell that to the Guild Core fleet. The first try was sneaky. That failed. Now, it's sneaky with a bit of overwhelming force. |
