Actually the new deathmessages made me chuckle in the morning when someone was asking me where to find a certain obvious hostile base and after some minutes "Death: *player" did their best"

That brings up the question I wanted to pose. Sorry, it's a bit of a newbie question. I've been away for a year or so until recently.
What does this "victim has suffered a self inflicted catastrophic decompression" mean? Is that just a random death message or does it refer to the cause of death? You know, like diving into a planet.
And what, if any, is the specific catastrophe that triggers the loadout error message?
Just curious. :-)

Mostly means that you managed to kill yourself by planet diving or sun diving. The loadout error normally means you killed yourself with your own mine.

There you go. Suicide means you crashed into something, self kill means you killed yourself with a weapon.
