Then how about the dude that was responsible for decommissioning the ships sold them off under the table to a bunch of history geeks at Heisenberg? Corruption is a common denominator for socialist regimes.

If the Coalition wants new ships, they have to be modelled from scratch. The old models are simply subpar in quality and too challenging to balance. Given that the ship line is getting some attention for 4.87 I forsee that most performance related issues will cease being a problem.

There is no scenario in which the general public getting the KSD line would make any sense, nor would we ever push for it to happen.
The SCRA doesn't want new ships, it's simply a vocal minority who has suddenly decided to stir up a debate which was resolved long ago. While I know there are some SCRA members who want the ship line back, their comments represent their personal opinions and not those of the SCRA as a whole.
The vast majority of the SCRA High Command has already decided that there is no way we would ever be requesting for the old SCRA ships to be returned. As I've said before, to do so would be disrespectful to the people who have put in the time and effort for this line. It is extremely unlikely that we will change our stance on the matter.

Well, for 4.87 beta 1 this won't happen since we're practically done balancing ships against eachother. But the old models will be held in storage. Not like we've not had reversals before (Order GB, Zephyr). Not saying we will do this (since the point about hitboxing these is valid, and I am NOT leaving the wings unhitboxed - which makes these ships rather crappy to fly whichever way you make them).
