Red Hessian Reporting Facility - Varyag - 02-05-2009

It has been a while brothers. We have brought the Varyag to 47 to assist in a Corsair incursion there and have arrived back safely. The Mission was a success.
Upon our arrival I was contacted by an independent Hessian flying one of our Lokis stating that he was under fire and needed help. We canceled our automated dock and proceeded to New Berlin to try and bring the fighter in.
As we neared Bonn station we were jumped by the BH BC Das.ICH. The Commander charged the Varyag figuring he had us outclassed so has many. The ship was destroyed with minimal damage. During the battle the RNC_Weser picked up the Hunters distress beacon and intercepted us as we were heading back to our space. The Cruiser challenged us so we obliged. One less RNC to hamper our patrols.
A pair of BH bombers arrived on the scene shortly after and attempted an ambush. We were short on repairs but managed to destroy both without dipping into our stores once more.
With the Varyag now having taken some moderate damage we set back to Vogtland for repairs. The crew is celebrating now in the bar over our victories with the pilot of the LF, and crews are repairing our beloved ship in the yard.
During the fight, our ships transponder was destroyed. Technicians have seen fit to endow us with new Guard frequencies.
It was a good day for us.

Great work captain! I have something what must rheinalnd military hurt too... I, miss Olsen, Komet and Rainer Frank have reason to celebrate... RM Battleship with captain foolish enough to chase our bomber sqad into asteroid field, this mistake costd RM many lives. I hope our target NO.1 Aachen do similar mistake soon too.

We left dry dock today to test out the repair recently preformed on our ship when we received yet another distress call from a pair of our fighters on patrol in New Berlin. We moved out to investigate and found a pair of Cruisers and a bomber harassing our men.
I set the crew to stations and we went in. My gunners destroyed both cruisers while our fighters engaged the bomber. The fight was progressing smoothly until a RNC battleship attacked us. I called in for our boys to retreat and we fell back to Dresden. The fighter had done enough damage to the bomber to cause it to flee before the BS overwelmed us. It was left in our tracks, its commander spewing over coms.
Good to see our men back in action.
The Varyag is standing by, as always.

Today we had an opportunity to test out the gunnery skills of the famed Hessian Cruiser Varyag. And indeed the gunners aboard the Varyag do know their stuff inside out. It took 3 bomber pilots to take him down and even that was not easy. So come the Liberty invasion it's very comforting to think that the crew of Varyag will be on our side and ready to reduce those invaders to cooling space flotsam.
I know you men and women fighting for our cause need something to be proud of and something to believe in, so I've prepared a training video showcasing our two premier Cruisers in target practise as well as close ups on the ships themselves.
When you get to sleep in your bunks across the frontier you can play these videos and see the righteous might of the Hessians prepared to meet any threat that arises head-on. I'll guarantee that the videos will give you sweet dreams.

Hessian command has urged us all to take our Transport Raeuber for supply runs to our bases and earn some credits. I boarded the ship in Freital and assumed command. Loading up diamonds I made a rendezvous with Major Gryneus flying Arado and Hauptmann Schnitt flying a Loki at Vogtland for our 4 legged trip to Omicron Alpha. The trip would serve 2 purposes. To haul supplies and buy some of the weapons from our allies.
Plan was to take the diamonds to Yanagi, load up Engine Components and proceed to Alpha. At Yanagi Cruiser Varyag joined our forces and we proceeded to Alpha.

The way there was very uneventful. At Alpha I hailed the locals and stated our business there. After getting a clearance to land we did our business as quickly as possible and headed back to Rheinland space. In Omicron Beta we made a quick stop at Ruiz Base to buy some more weapons.

On our way back to Rheinland we made a quick stop at Yanagi to load up the much needed H-Fuel which I sold at Vogtland. On our way to Vogtland RNC-Prometheus, a battleship, was in the system, but we did not encounter her and alerted Vogtland that they should send a bomber wing.

Another victory today! Our forces, Haptmann Farb, Oberleutnant Schnitt, Rekrut Blitz, Frayer from Pheonix and myself, successfully avoided Cadiz' defences and at the cambridge hole we've found a big Corsair fleet. There were 3 Cruisers and a gunboat. We successfully destroyed the fleet, only the Komet was destroyed, but the new model is waiting at Vogtland.

I'm very proud for Johannes Farb, Herman Schnitt and Hagen von Seelenburg. They showed what means being a Hessian. They showed it in the Battlefield and even with words, Herman with his Loki, Hagen with Schwalbe, Johannes with his Odin. They are the light for every Hessians, I hope they will continue spreading the Revolution, becuase the Army' fame is due to you.

"The bomber wing sent by Vogtland to dispatch the RNC-Prometheus ultimately has failed in it's task. The Battleship was able to escape to Planet. You can see the ship escaping in the video1a, video1b and video2"
"The forces dispatched to take care of the problem consisted pilots of the most fine caliber Major Gryneus flying his famous Arado and Hautpmanns Herman Schnitt in Komet and Johannes Farb in Red Autumn. The report indicates that at first everything seemed to be going according to well rehearsed battle plan. There seems to have been present RNC|Tirpitz and a rag-tag bunch of fighters, Behemoth and other ships adding their firepower to the fray, but it is not unexpected given the fact that anything involving The Red Hessian Army seem to be a free-for-all occasion."

"From the communication logs attached in the trasmission the battleship had been driven to dock and situation seemed to be well under control right upto the when Major Gryneus' ship computer crashed and he was out of the fight leaving him using all the auxiliary power directed to the engines to maintain control of the ship. After that the wing's situational communication seems sparse and more frantic. The fragmentary conversations indicate that RNC Tauren came and opened up. Given the new situation things were still controllable and RNC Tauren was going down, but alas Komet soon seems have experienced a mine hitting a critical temperature and have exploded right after Hauptmann Schnitt has released it taking his ship down."
"The report continues that Red Autumn faced insurmountable odds and phrase 'retreating with Herr Schnitt in hold' can be read here, but that's the end of the communication. We are currently launching search and rescue operation and are asking for volunteers."
