SF Message Dump - Ant - 01-10-2007 Transmit to: All SF personnel Comm ID: Lieutenant Carlaw, SFGB FireAnt A BSG trader came under attack earlier by two Corsair gunboats. SFB-Beta3 scrambled from Cambridge to assist and encountered Corsair gunboats -=Ardax=- and [-Orion-]8b@ll in Omega 5. [-Orion-]8b@ll immediately opened fire on SFB-Beta3 so the bomber returned fire. The BSG trader transmitted it had made a wrong turn(to Omega 11) so SFB-Beta3 returned to Cambridge. SFB-Beta3 was joined at the Omega 5 jumphole by BSG fighters and the return jump was made to Omega 5. The Corsair gunboats were detected leaving Omega 5 for Omega 41. Seishou-kaku Dragons tagged Cruiser opened fire on SFB-Beta3. The Cambridge based ships returned fire, causing some damage to the Cruiser which then jumped to Cambridge and was joined by two Slipstreams, Hammer and Wulfen-[X]. These ships both opened fire on the defensive ships. The Dragons cruiser was eventually destroyed but there was a great deal of difficulty in targetting the light fighters due to electrical interference. Defensive forces eventually disengaged from combat. End of Transmission OOC: Sorry about the incorrect reps with Corsairs. It seems every time I go to try and change them, some emergency needs attention. Hardly ever get a moments peace in Cambridge. SF Message Dump - Squeage - 01-10-2007 Transmission to: SFDS-Arawn Comm ID: Squeage Congratulations on the promotion! I just got back to Cambridge from my leave (Florida was awesome!!!!) and I'm glad to be back in the ole cockpit. I hope to see you around in your new bomber. End of Transmission SF Message Dump - Firebird - 01-10-2007 Transmission to: SF Personnel Comm ID: Admiral Firebird Pleased to announce the promotion of Ant to the rank of Captain in the SF. Ant's activity both in-game and on the forum have represented SF well and have earned him this promotion. I foresee no problems with him fulfilling the requirements and expectations for his new position. Congratulations. And since captain promotions are rare occasions...here's the really good stuff. Cheers. End of Transmission SF Message Dump - Krog - 01-10-2007 ooc: The rep on that ship was in the process of being fixed when my assistance was requested...It will read appropriately in the future....and I wouldnt call 3 vipers on me arse "dispatched easily" lol SF Message Dump - Hyperwave22 - 01-10-2007 Transmit to: All SF Personnel Comm ID: SFBS-Sierra Blood Dragon Sheishou-Kaku was detected in Cambridge space, and immediately upon seeing SF vessels, engaged, destroying the SFGB-FireAnt. SFBS-Sierra promptly attempted to chase the Talarca Light Cruiser, but with no functioning cruise disruptors, this did no good. Kaku offered to go on 1 on 1 with Sierra, bragging he had already destroyed a BSG battleship. Sierra, after some time, accepted, hoping to destroy the vessel that had destroyed a friendly. However, we encountered a much harder threat than previously expected. Because of the maneuverability of the ship, Sierra had problems hitting the hull. Kaku seemed to be having problems too, with Sierra barely able to gain any advantage. However, a distress call from a ship at the gate forced Sierra to destroy Corsairs there (OOC: Had to go). All knowledge on how the other two SF vessels are doing is unkown at the current time. SFBS-Sierra out... Transmit to: All SF Personnel Comm ID: Captain Hyperwave Captain Ant, congratulations on the promotion. There is a party planned for tonight on SFBS-Sierra. I can guarantee it will be fun:) Captain Hyperwave out... SF Message Dump - Ant - 01-10-2007 Transmit to: All SF personnel Comm ID: Captain Buxton, SFBS Repulse Thank you for the promotion Admiral. I'll look forward to the good stuff. Engagements with Kusari forces appear to be unchanging in intensity, with a large number of Kusari capital ships destroyed today in Tau31. There were also some planetform associated miners in the area, discussing some nonsense about H4O or something over open channels. End of transmission Transmit to: All SF personnel Comm ID: Lieutenant Carlaw, SFGB FireAnt There were two casualties aboard FireAnt when the Seishou-kaku destroyed an escape pod. Both were top notch gunners and will be missed. After the departure of Sierra, Seishou-kaku was engaged by the single nova equipped SFB-Beta3. The light cruiser was sustaining moderate damage when a solar flare(OOC: server crash) forced a premature end to the engagement. SFB-Beta3 had it's paint scratched. End of transmission SF Message Dump - Koolmo - 01-10-2007 Transmittion to: All SF Comm ID: Trainee Koolmo, SFF-Koolmo Congrats to Captain Ant! In the traditions of the service, Hip Hip! Huzza! Hip Hip! Huzza! Hip Hip! Huzza! Maybe I'll be able to sneak a little of the "good stuff"... In other news, the SFF-Koolmo is currently undergoing final weapons testing, and should be avalable for sevice shortly. Koolmo out. SF Message Dump - Koolmo - 01-11-2007 Transmit to: SF Command Comm ID: SFGB-Longbow While the crew was on shore leave on Planet Cambridge today, I recieved word that SFB-Beta3 had engaged the Sheishou-Kaku above the planet. I scrambled the crew and launched into the fray. The Sheishou-Kaku was already damaged to 50% hull, and in conjunction with Beta3, was heavily damaged and withdrew. Beta3 returned planetside for a well deserved rest, and Longbow resumed normal patrol activites. However, before Cambridge was even out of sight, the Sheishou-Kaku returned, in company with (Helghast)(A)kid_nasty. I engaged in Delaying Action against the two cruisers, while Beta3 was scrambled for an emergency launch. I was forced out of the fight by heavy gun damage after the destruction of the Helghast, and reentered after hasty repairs. The Sheishou-Kaku seemed intent to focus on me throught the engagement, leaving Beta3 free to pound it into scrap. Two Black Squadron fighters showed up shortly after to complement the defences, and the SFFG-Exeter arrived soon after them. The crew is now resuming leave, and repairs are being conducted. I would like to request Commendatons for Chief Gunner's Mate Hawkins, for pulling two hands out of a wrecked gunwell under fire, and to Midshipman Alexis Pullings, for sacrificing himself in the Service of the Queen in a vain effort to staunch an engine-room fire. He will be sorely missed. Longbow, out. EDIT: sorry, I'd said Beta2 by accident the whole way through.... my bad. SF Message Dump - Firebird - 01-11-2007 Transmit to: SF Personnel Comm ID: Admiral Firebird Following vessels are now wanted by the SF and are considered hostile based on previous reports: [-orion-]8b@ll (forum ID?, Corsair aligned, note spelling has multiple chars with similar names) -=Ardax=- (forum ID?) Sheishou-Kaku (forum ID?) Red Orchastra is now licensed to carry nomads provided they remain above hostile in Cambridge. End of Transmission SF Message Dump - Ant - 01-11-2007 Transmit to: SF command Comm ID: Lieutenant Harris, SFFG Exeter Apologies for the late report Admiral. Things got a little out of hand at the bar and a few crew members got into trouble with security. My god the place was a mess after that...supposedly unbreakable tables got bent into the strangest shapes by flying bodies. You know how Excaliber group likes to party. Hopefully they'll be let out of the brig in time for the next Nomad cull. Anyway, security forces apparently had some trouble with a couple of fighters earlier. Can't remember the names off the top of my head(possibly "lol" or "u suck" from what they were saying). Exeter did not engage due to malfunctioning targeting systems and the defensive fighters took some damage. There was also an apparently lost Blood Dragons Cruiser in Cambridge taking potshots at anything in it's path. It didn't seem to be interested in sticking around when Exeter was chasing. Nice little party on the Sierra. Please excuse me while I go and throw up. End of Transmission |
