After-Action Report

Destination: SF/BSG Command

Comm ID: SiN|Tech Superior

I am submitting this report to protest the actions of the FGS. On several occasions, the trade ship Sunburst and Lancer refused to obey the Quarintine procedures in effect for Planet Cambridge. The trade ship Sunburst broke quarintine and was destroyed for it. The trade ship Lancer managed to escape with irradiated VIPs.

Please deal with this as soon as possible. SiN Tech regrets fireing uppon the trade ships, but it was a necissary act to contain the radiation and any possible pathogens from Planet Cambridge due to the MOX bombing yesterday.

- Cpt. Stahl, SiN|Tech Superior.

OOC: K if this order was issued in the Target to Cambridge post I need a link here in this post as well as who issued the order (it needs to be in b&w and obvious otherwise no one sees it). And guys not everyone visits the forum or is involved in a particular RP story, I do have a concern that this could be used as an excuse for lawful vessels to attack lawful traders (not saying this is happening but could turn that way), be very careful in your actions in enforcing a quarantine, might be good for RP but it is a good way to piss people off who are just going about their business. Quaratine will last til Thursday (2 days), then will be lifted.

SF command,

If there is to be a Cambridge Quaratine until Thursday there should be some description of what that means. =BSG= has a large number of civilian traders hauling passengers right now and if one of them gets shot at because some SinTech gunner didn't get the memo....lets just not let that happen.

What are the quarantine proceedures?

OOC: Agreed, that's my point precisely, who gave the quarantine order? Yes RP-wise its good, but its a damn bugger to implement since not everyone knows about the incident. And its been made with no sort of description. So to solve the problem, here's my thoughts on procedures, landing on Cambridge limited to military and relief vessels (SF, RM, BSG). And to avoid anymore shooting of lawful traders, trading vessels can be directed to Cambridge Research Station since the VIPs there shouldn't be contaminated.

With recent events on Cambridge due to the MOX attack, Planet Cambridge has been placed under quarantine and military lock-down to prevent the spread of radiation and MOX contamination. Vessels bound for Planet Cambridge are to be rerouted to Cambridge Research Station and New London. Plantary landings on Cambridge limited to relief and military personnel until further notice (ie. Thursday). Ships breaking quarantine by leaving Planet Cambridge with cargo are to be directed back to the planet to unload or they shall be destroyed (OOC: ships leaving the Planet are to leave with their cargo hold empty to prevent contamination, enforcement don't just shoot any ship leaving the planet since possible some chars are docked there 'overnight' as it were with no knowledge of this and should not be penalized for it, vessels leaving Planet Cambridge empty can pick up cargo at Cambridge Research Station). Military personnel are to inform vessels regarding the quarantine and route them as necessary.

SF Message Dump - Koolmo - 01-16-2007

Transmission To: Battlegroup Excaliber Command

This is Lieutenant des Jardines, for the Longbow. In Cambridge today, the AW Luciaden was encountered, and ordered to leave or be destroyed. He didn't respond, but entered the nearest tradelane and departed for Omega-3.

While en-route to my normal Omega's patrol route from CRI, a Xenos, Reckless, appeared from New London and progressed onwards the planet, professing his intentions to "Kill". He fell under our guns, with some small assistance from local BAF forces. My leftmost Nanobot Bay was damaged during this action, capacity is now below normal strenth.

As I returned to CRI to resupply, the corsair Zypher appeared from Omega-5, and commenced SAR operations for a corsair plilot. Lt. Koolmo scrambled his fighter from the planet, but intercepted a Nova Salvo and his fighter was destroyed, it is unknown whether he managed to punch out in time. I launched immediatly, and attempted to engage, but I only managed to inflict superficial damage before being crippled. I am currently at the Battleship Norfolk, waiting for new parts and guns to be shipped.

Once I am operational again, I request permission to look for Lt. Koolmo, his last reported location was 1300m away from the Omega-5 Jump Hole.

Longbow out.

OOC: Reckless and Zypher are the same person, different ships. Zypher is now in a taiidian bomber.

Heavy work in Cambridge today.

Pirates were at work but seemed more interested in accosting the BSG ships. Skylanzer was disabled by a missile barrage from the FireAnt.

The HF and Phantoms showed their faces again later.
A Phantom ship was seen to enter Cambridge while a Hellfire Legion ship was making a nuisance of itself. The Rheinland cruiser Warhorse appeared to be supporting hostile actions so was asked to leave the system and was given escort by SFGB-Cricket.
SFGB-Cricket was fired on, however support was standing by and the Rheinland Cruiser was heavily damaged before escaping.

We're not really sure what the Phantoms were doing.
One Phantom ship was moderately damaged when it passed into the defensive line around Cambridge.

A later party left the planet and appeared to be supported by a SiN|Tech ship.

Phantoms left the system at that point.

Nomads destroyed in Unknown.

Phantoms were detected in Omega 41 but escaped without shots being fired.

Corsair Dreadnaught El Torrito detected carrying Nomads.

Options were given, get licensed or get vaporised.
El Torrito chose the latter and the battle began.

Exeter opened fire with infernos from around 800 metres. El Torrito responded with full dreadnaught firepower and the Exeter's shields were rapidly depleted.
Exeter responded with cruise disruptors to prevent the dreadnaught from escaping.

The Dreadnaught quickly drained it's power and with the Exeter well placed, the shields of El Torrito were dropped with Inferno batteries and Battle Razor batteries were ordered to open fire.

Both ships took a close range hammering and armour flaked away like dandruff.

El Torrito eventually decided it could not withstand the punishment and the Nomad infested ship escaped into cruise. It docked at Primus but contact was lost there.

Admiral Firebird, I told you I had a gun with your name on it, didn't I? To bad that one is floating in the void somewhere, but luckily those corsairs picked up my lifepod. I'll be sure to find a New gun to name for you...

Pirate ship [-Orion-]-=8B@ll=- entered Cambridge and accepted that this tag was for a wanted criminal.

Ship was destroyed. Captured criminal surrendered and is recommended for removal from the wanted list.

Independant ship Subzero was making threatening noises in Omega 3. Scout patrol with SFF-Xenos in lead went to check it out. Orders were to scan ID and weapons loadout.
Ship was identified as a Bretonia battleship and pursued into Omega 7.
Subzero fired on SFF-Xenos and was engaged by the scout group. Scans later revealed a civilian ID.

Excaliber group was called on for assistance and a quick response by Exeter saw the hostile ship pursued into Omega 5 from Omega 11.

This report in from Exeter.
Quote:The hostile battleship was engaged but disappeared from short range scanners for about a minute.
It came up on scanners again and was chased before vanishing from long range scanners.
