Ach come on, the most of you are saying something like: Mining for fun, and to like shooting rocks. We all know that we are just mining for money and nothing more. Mining is freaking boring. But you make good money with it. You know how long it will take now to bu a BS ?

I do hope that the admins turn back on the server/mining soon. Even if it is not to the level it was before. While I havn't owned a Hege in a while I'd still like to RP.

your thinking why would i say that being a director of IMG and all? I remember a day when you just had trading and pirates it was simple. I like the Old days and wish there were more Traders out and about. all i saw in mining was a lot of oorp and metagaming, i will admit i too power mined the hell out of some ore.
maybe turn it back on in like a year:)

vote with your feet. if u see this as an oppotunity to change the way u play then be positive about it. if u cannot or will not then u need to decide what is right for you. personally i was upset that the mining was turned off.
mining for me was a way to gain easier credits to purchase different ships and ID's to experiance different situations. i spread myself around. one night im one char the next im someone different. im not that graet with rp but do try. im not that great at shooting it up with other players but if my sometimes cocky rp doesnt work ll do my best to put on a good show, and occasionally i have even won ;-) yay for me. ps my high ping doesnt help either LOL.
anyway. my thought is as others have mentioned. turn mining back on, make drops bigger so u are not mining for too long. make prices lower for ore. you end up with more traffic on the highways more often.
have more minable areas thoughout siruis so that players are spread out more and not concentrated to 3 -5 mining areas and the routes used by haulers varys as well.
is it possible every few days or weeks to change the drop rates in different areas to encourage the player to explore different places to mine. for the pirate to change tactics and pirating areas. for the haulers to change there routes because of these changes. to have a more interactive and dynamic enviroment but does not create a lot of extra work for a person or persons to implement.
anyway. im sure after 47 pages or whatever a lot of thoughts and feelings have been written. i suppose there is only a small number of people that can effect any changes to this server and in the end it is in there hands. they need to decide what is good, fair and balanced so that this server which as far as i can see is the most populated continues to be so. regards

From the day the fully fleshed out mining mod was turned on, there has been mining in dublin, the taus, and the omegas. The thing is, whatever is done, people tend to use just one place and one place only. Dublin's mining isn't even the most profitable. That little award goes to Omega 11's diamond mining. But people simply don't bother.

Well as the 1 admin i seen comment said it was a trial,and he put forth tons of good idea's,and lots agreed on them. I just hope they hurry up,and decide,and impliment them. Today was the first time i got on right away during the busiest part of the day. Normally takes me a good 10 minutes,but today was only at 180 peeps. Also when normally their is 120-140 people their was 60. These numbers all by themselves tells me alot about how people feel about the mining gone.
I would hate to loose alot of players over this. I myself will stand by what ever the admins decide,and always have. But this could really hurt numbers.

This will hurt numbers, many left, and many more will leave, i hope they will decide fast.
