Liberty Navy [LN] - casero - 12-07-2010 You first complain was about numbers, you posted that 7 [LN] players ganked your nomad gunboat. Now, I've fought those gunboats with two different ships, the first one, a bomber... I couldn't do anything to it wihtout being eaten. My second experience against it was better, I got my KNF gunboat to fight it, it was better because I learned that I can't fight 1 on 1 with a gunboat against that beast. Yes, the Nomad gunboat with nomad turrets is a beast, don't try to deny it, you know it, I know it, everyone (who has fought it) know it. So you were lucky, I'd have sent the 7 of us against your gunboat if I was there. Instead, Zanders was there, and being so nice, he kept 3 fighters and 1 bomber. (Which I also don't see as a bad thing against a regular gunboat either.) Now, if these numbers are a concern to you, we can discus about it. For your second complaint, about the power-gaming out of your influence, sorry but no, that shouldn't happen, you shouldn't try to force people into your role play, or Lane Hackers would be unstoppable. We are only meant to play our characters, you are not the one to play my character from your nomad, some people are down for that, that's great, some are not, and you should accept that as a valid way to play with you. I don't know what else to tell you about this. About your third concern, the supposed swarm, the [LN] ships were there before you moved into the system, again, the [LN] was there before you got into the system, we didn't prepare that to shoot you. I'm a bit concerned that you call us "gankers" and you are saying that we shot you down even when you were not there for fighting. But I have to ask... was it you, the player, who told the [LN] that you weren't there for fighting? Or was your character, the Nomad, an individual from an alien race dedicated to kill/erase mankind? If your intentions weren't for fighting, you should have PM'd any of the [LN]s reflecting that, even more, if Dii warned you beforehand that we were going to attack you, why didn't you reply to Dii, your fellow keeper, "I'm not here for fighting"? That would have saved a lot of troubles, we've done that in the past, there's no reason to don't do it again. If you want to discuss about any of those 3 points in a civil way, we will do it, but take your time before posting, no more flaming is needed, wanted or tolerated, we can talk about this without fighting eachother. Liberty Navy [LN] - Inquisitor Gaunt - 12-07-2010 As I've already said, I withdraw 2/3 of my complaints, and honestly have calmed down about them. As for the powergaming one, as I've said (four times, now), I didn't hold any issue to the Liberty Navy not being affected by the empathic aura, but I did hold an issue to them failing to respond to it at all. I have a GC, and they're fairly frequently confronted by the Aoi, myself included. While yes, I agree that each and every person has the right to RP their own character, they still need to respond to outside influences and roleplay. If I personally am not in the mood to RP with keepers, my speech falters for a moment as if I'm distracted, then I catch myself falling for their control, shake my head out, and resume. ICly shrugging off something is fine, but OOCly entirely ignoring it is not. I hope this is civil enough, and I mean that without sarcasm. Edit: As for your question as to whether it was my character or I, it was really neither. One of the drawbacks to being an empath is that Minerva's mood is broadcasted to pretty much all local space, be it flustering heat of rage, an eery stillness for suspicion, a gentle ebbing warmth of...well, kind of like love but not love per se, or just a general cool and collected calmness. I'd made it rather clear that she was calm and not in the mood for violence through use of empathy, but I'm not really angry about that any more. Liberty Navy [LN] - casero - 12-07-2010 ' Wrote:As I've already said, I withdraw 2/3 of my complaints, and honestly have calmed down about them. To be honest, most of time, I find the nomad role play quiet annoying to understand, from a start I have to deal with the language barrer, and now I have to figured out what they are trying to say, there were few times where I tried to play along, it was hard, and it was not fun for any of us, because I simply didn't know what to tell them, so yes I did the simple "get out of my head" thing and moved along. There are times when you don't know what to say, or you don't want to play along with someone/something that you just ignore it/them, that doesn't mean you are not role playing (I believe they did role play otherwise it would be a complete mistake), but you role play ignoring some things, like a hacker talking about computer things, I ignore completly those things. I even tried the Nomad Morph, the Trial ID, read the lore, and got in my way to play as a little nomad, and I've met people that ignored me, I didn't blame them for that, they even engaged me after a little chat between them both, and my point is, as people accept that Nomads communicate with telepathy, they should accept that Military men do military things like shutting down a menace. What I learned from my nomad character is that not everyone will play along with you, and that you must keep searching until someone does. Liberty Navy [LN] - aznremix416 - 12-07-2010 Yea, the [LN] feedback is here for community members to voice their concerns, complaints, and compliments. We just ask that you keep it civil and I for one prefer you talk to us privately about what you think we did wrong instead of flaming or trial by forum and we can solve it out with no problem:)Remember its just a game, we are all here to have fun. Liberty Navy [LN] - Inquisitor Gaunt - 12-07-2010 A valid argument, I suppose. Nothing further from me defending my side. Liberty Navy [LN] - kingvaillant - 12-07-2010 Had some pleasant experience today with LN (as well as many LNS) in Liberty before and during the RM attacks. The atmosphere was nice and smooth. Keep up the good work! Also folks, please avoid making the topic heavier and longer to read. If you don't have any kudos or complain or are not involved in any of the discussions, please refrain from posting. Liberty Navy [LN] - Jeff the Blue - 12-07-2010 Delete...my bad...Real life slowed me down... May we all have fun RP and PvP Liberty Navy [LN] - Inquisitor Gaunt - 12-07-2010 Kudos to the LN for real this time. That spat in New York was evenly balanced. Liberty Navy [LN] - Miranda - 12-07-2010 Evenly balanced? You had two battleships versus a LPI dreadnought and a handful of fighters. When a Liberty battleship fires on fighters theyre denounced and called a lolwut, but I guess you're above that. Also, how the hell do you justify allying with the order in RP? I have to say Ive lost a lot of respect for the Keepers over this. Liberty Navy [LN] - Inquisitor Gaunt - 12-07-2010 ' Wrote:Evenly balanced? Pre-existant specter RP. Also: You had a cruiser and the Bennington on your side, too. |
