Small little fallacy is that people have things to hide that aren't illegal. You may now carry on. RE: PRISM: Let's drop Skype for Freelancer and move to something else. - Sava - 06-17-2013 Maybe i live too far from the Murica, but the Global Terrorism seems to be more like a bogeyman to me. I'll be killed by a drunk driver or stabbed by hooligan over 9000 times more likely. What USA propagand is trying to treat as crime against humanity is just a clash of different nations, cultures, which at this stage is a civil war rather than terrorism. The only way to have privacy in internet (as i see it) is using an open source software (doubtfully spy programs get unnoticed there) and encryption. RE: PRISM: Let's drop Skype for Freelancer and move to something else. - utrack - 06-17-2013 YES, but not because PRISM. Because it's laggy, consuming, proprietary and unreliable piece of (toxic waste). It can behave how it likes in terms of delivering messages (like, deliver it right now or in a couple of weeks) while eating 100M of RAM, constantly pop-upping its upgrades and blinking on every cough. And there's no way you can evade this - all other Skype clients don't provide even some basic features, and delivery time... it's protocol's "feature". For everyone who really wanted to find any safe channels out there i'd recommend Jabber or IRC with proper cryptography or remailers if Interpol is after you. ;P RE: PRISM: Let's drop Skype for Freelancer and move to something else. - Scumbag - 06-17-2013 (06-17-2013, 05:54 PM)Sava Wrote: Maybe i live too far from the Murica, but the Global Terrorism seems to be more like a bogeyman to me. But you can't run Freelancer on Linux :| RE: PRISM: Let's drop Skype for Freelancer and move to something else. - Tachyon - 06-17-2013 Yawn. Ideals. Yawn. RE: PRISM: Let's drop Skype for Freelancer and move to something else. - SeaFalcon - 06-17-2013 5.3.0.120 of skype works fine for me. With HTML support and proper emoticons. And there is no chat, or any other communication system at the moment that isn't monitored unless you plan on using two cans and a wire. RE: PRISM: Let's drop Skype for Freelancer and move to something else. - utrack - 06-17-2013 Having your very own protected server and many security protocols active (like SSL or something more rare\advanced) could stop monitoring unless you really drawn govt attention (but they can just get into your home shouting and borrow some machineguns with them, arent they?)
