I am trying to figure out what the "stage" is - what are Carriers in Disco? You are probably right, they are easy to construct, and that also explains why Zoners have them. For the sake of atmosphere and how to understand the roleplay environment, that is useful knowledge, because in real life it is the opposite situation. That also rules out any argument of "backwards Corsairs don't know how to construct a carrier", and we are one step further in the discussion. Yay. I also learned something new about the Freelancer universe, and that is useful for the future, when Coalition and other factions might ask for a Carrier.
I am also trying to expand the views on Corsairs beyond corsairs-as-a-liberal-democracy. It is one of the "fun" and interesting things about the Freelancer universe - it dives into past modes of production and social orders of the past. It is interesting to imagine how it would be like to live in a feudal-like society etc. etc., because we have to throw away a whole lot of the categories that shape us as people. Morality, ethics, perception of the world and so on is radically different, and it is fun to imagine that rather than implicitly use contemporary liberal democracies as a prism to understand everything through.
I never said anything about China's internal management, I stated a few facts that are not political in nature - they are statistical and neutral. I wrote the word 'dope', yes, and I also wrote 'slaves', 'guns' and 'war' - what's the big issue?

It's a great thing about Freelancer and I agree on Corsairs not being a Liberal democracy, but at the same time I believe base resources are needed and part of the Corsair lore is not having them.
The "facts" you state are deemed false by China's government, and you contesting this is what makes it political. Surely you can make statements about any supposed oppressive regimes without mentioning names?
