My vote is to make it something like the Liners back in day, a couple of gunboat class weapons with mostly transport weaponry and a half decent cargo.

Ah the ship looks excilent and should fit my crime boss's RP nicely.
The only thing I am worried about is the cargo, as in his liner, Abura carries a huge amount of RP cargo...
So I will have to make due with 250 cargo, heh, no longer have to have 900 luxury goods and 1400 food rations and all that gold

Love the new ship, I find it a good looking and practical ship, I look forward to getting an in game view sometime.

sure - its in the game - and REALLY fun to fly with. -
but now i regret that i haven t added a whirlpool under a transparent dome to it......
and yes, its some sort of a transport with a hybrid weaponry. ( that is... when you re REALLY wealthy to afford it ) [ good thing we re all cheaters on the test-server ]

well - personally - i think we need a few generic ships, too. - its not like we re playing restrictionlancer. - this ship is more the concept i had for the light zoner gunboat ( which is free for all, too ... well, except those that zoners don t like of course )

I'd love to hear more about the hybrid weaponry though. Are they weapons specially designed for the ship? (Like the Marsflyer say) or are they fighter turrets etc on it?

I very much agree with this statement. Freelancers need some love too. Not that my freelancer would get this ship... The luxury yacht thing doesn't really fit his RP, even if the ship is really cool... But I'm eagerly awaiting the Zoner GB.
