RE: Unchained | Invited - nOmnomnOm - 06-15-2016 "Twelve years... wow... I'm... twenty-four..." She shakes her head. "Don't worry... we'll get out of here soon..." She groans a little and then looks at Linda, though just sees her body slouched and laying down as it is getting dark now. "We.. we have water... so that's good... just food... if we need... maybe there is a squirrel to eat..." She thinks out loud and looks around. "Hey Linda...?" She says and looks back, but she gets no response other than light steady breathing. "Good night, Linda... We'll get out soon..." She whispers and curls up into a small ball and soon falls asleep feeling exhausted. RE: Unchained | Invited - Cælumaresh - 06-15-2016 As both of them went to sleep, above the cave, Maltese patrols were sweeping the forests above and infront of the cave. Thankfully it was hidden well enough for the cave and as such them to remain undetected. A few days went past, not much happening in them. In the morning Linda would go out scouting for some small game for food, while Michelle would keep the cave secure, keeping the fire burning, and building a small shelter for the both of them. After days of waiting, the radio finally signalled that a Junker freighter would be waiting for them the next day on a abandoned field about 10 kilometers to the north. It would be to take them to Freeport 11, and drop them off, leaving them both with Civilian shuttles. However, going there would prove to be difficult. "Hush.. Take cover." Linda beckoned Michelle to keep low, as a Maltese patrol ship flew overhead. "Wait for it... Waaiiit for it... Now! Go! Sprint to that group of bushes over there!" She started running towards the bushes as fast as she could. "Only 3 kilometer remaining.. come on." she thought to herself. RE: Unchained | Invited - nOmnomnOm - 06-15-2016 The next few days that followed were quite tough for Michelle to handle, as she had not really ever went out to surviving in the wild before. Even so, she managed doing quite well and had gotten plenty of rest. Most of her woulds had healed up and she was feeling less pain. When she heard from the radio that they could be rescued soon, she lit up with a beaming face and thought it would be really easy. This, though, proved to not be true. She dashed through the forest after Linda and ran quickly into the next bush just out of view of the patrol ship. She gasped for breath and rubbed her arm where a few more twigs had poked her skin. "Oh god... we ... can't give up now... so close..." She whispered back between heaving breaths. She bent down and rubbed her leg where the chains were still covered and her ankle soar from the metal to skin friction. "Stupid... stupid cuffs..." She grumbled to herself. "Now what...?" She looked up, asking Linda. RE: Unchained | Invited - Cælumaresh - 06-15-2016 "Its about 3 klicks from here. Should be clear from now on. Lets keep running. We can make it there in 20 minutes if we keep running. The guy's waiting for us. Lets go." She started jogging through the forest, heading towards the freighter. She looks backwards. "If you cant handle all this running with those shackles, i'll carry you, i swear." RE: Unchained | Invited - nOmnomnOm - 06-16-2016 "I'll just slow you down... If ... if something happens... don't wait for me! You need to get out of here more than I do." She calls back as she runs after her and is catching up slowely but steadily. "If these irons will be the end of me... then so be it... Linda duck! Another one!" She spots another scout ship flying low to the ground and ducks for cover. RE: Unchained | Invited - Cælumaresh - 06-16-2016 "I dont care if you slow me down or not, i'm not leaving you behind!" She whispered as she sat down. "Its gone. Lets keep moving. We are nearly there." RE: Unchained | Invited - nOmnomnOm - 06-16-2016 She nods and gets up again, running with her and keeping a good pace. After another click of running through bushes, tree branches, and the like they get to an unsuspecting surprise. "Linda, stop! Look! Is... is that a river? Listen!" She points ahead and sees a river a few meters wide cutting through the forest. "How are you going to get across that?" RE: Unchained | Invited - Cælumaresh - 06-16-2016 "Hmmmmm, good question.." She looked around, trying to spot something like a big log they could use as a bridge to get across. "Do you see a big log or something?" RE: Unchained | Invited - nOmnomnOm - 06-16-2016 "Umm... no I don't... but... Oh look! that tree over there is leaning quite a bit!" She points to an old tree that is tipping and some roots are already giving way. The tree extends more than halfway across the river by just hanging there though it would if tipped go all the way down to the other side. "How are you with climbing trees?" She asks her. RE: Unchained | Invited - Cælumaresh - 06-16-2016 "Climbing trees eh?" She looked at the tree. It didnt look very stable. "Perhaps we can topple it without climbing on. It doesnt look stable enough to me to do so." |
