Rachel Baker walked into the bar room, looking around slightly, the somewhat new Sub Lieutenant's bar on her collar gleaming as the light reflected off of it, she stood there for a moment and let out a soft sigh before walking to the bar and sitting down, almost instantly the barkeep slid a glass of Vodka her way, he had recognized her from before.

Rachel laughed softly and took a sip from the glass.

"Sure is pretty quiet around Liberty lately, hell, the Rheinlander's haven't even launched any attacks recently, we might just beat them after all"

Rachel laughed again and looked around the bar a little more, scanning for familiar faces of which she found none, sighing softly she finished off the glass of vodka and poured another from the bottle.

"Wonderfully boring day this is..."

The new Commander walks in with a skip in his step, surveying the room before easing himself into a large, fluffy couch. He stares at the pillows beside him and then throws them onto the floor and eases himself even further into the couch.

Ahh. Bartend, Liberty Ale!

He snaps his fingers as the bartend is pouring the frothy beverage

Actually, make it a double. Oh, and give me one of those little umbrellas.

All the other officers give him a curious look. Malrone's grin soon turns to a scorn...

Got a problem? Good. Didn't think so.

But Malrone was in too good a mood to let them ruin his night. So he drank up and started reviewing patrol reports.

jimmy motioned for a refill and walked over to his friend and patted him on the sholder" jack, damn good to see you, glad they finally let you away from Duty how have you been?" he finished as he sipped his newly topped off refill

Jack cranked his neck around to see Jimmy approaching him. He quickly put the report papers face down on the table and sat up.

Jimmy! Sit down, sit down. No, no, I've been doin' great. Me an' the family are planning a vacation to LA in a while.

He smiles as he secretly stuffs the small parasol into his pocket and gulps back the last of his Ale.

So, uhh...how you been?

Libertonian Servicemember's Bar & Grill - jimmy Patterson - 12-26-2009

jim sat down and chuckled" ive been good my unit disbanded so i ve been patroling penn and new york, anyway LA huh where abouts ,i know a few good spots" he asked

Libertonian Servicemember's Bar & Grill - Asgardian - 12-26-2009

Jack moved over to make room for Jimmy, the ice in his glass clattering around as he did so.

Bartend! Another round for me and Jimmy here.

The bartender bowed his head slightly.

Of course, sir.

Units been disbanded, eh? But I hear you've been given command of that new ship registry. Nice job, man, nice job.

He pats Jimmy on the back and admires his medals while he's at it.

Haven't got any definite plans on where to stay at LA. Any good family spots you know of? Somewhere faaaarr out of signal range. Don't want the Navy contacting me whilst I'm on vacation.

He chuckles and leans behind Jimmy to see when his drinks were coming...

Galen slowly entered the bar, hands in pocket and took a quick glance at the booths and bar. He saw Commander Malrone, his new insignia glinting in the somewhat dim light of the bar, along with Captain Patterson, both conversing on the couch. The arriving officer gave them a quick nod, swiped his hand across his brown, ruffled hair and strode over to an empty seat on the bar.

"Excuse me. Do you have anything besides the usual...drinks?" Galen asked as he looked behind the bartender, hoping to see something new.

The bartender looked at Galen as if he asked to fly a Liberty Dreadnought into the sun.

"Uhh.." he replied, then saw the Vice Admiral's insignia.

"Sure.. I have something different... let me see."

Galen scratched his head and began typing on the datapad until the bartender returned with a drink that to the Vice Admiral, looked the same as everyone else.

"Thanks." the officer replied and took a sip.

"Tastes the same as the other drinks I had at this place before..." he thought. Galen continued to type and look back behind the bar into nothing.

Just as Jimmy opened his mouth to tell him about his Californian locations, Jack hit him and looked towards the Vice Admiral. Anderson was busily typing away on his datapad. Jack carefully whispered to Jimmy, making sure he was out of ear shot of the Vice Admiral.

Look, its Anderson! Damn he rose up the ranks quickly.

Malrone looked up as the bartender balanced Jimmy's and his drinks on a dull brown wooden tray. He bent down awkwardly and placed the drinks down

Two double Ale's for you sir

Cheers, bartend! And, uhh...here's your tip.

Thank you, sir.

The bartender walked away with the generous two credit note Malrone had placed down for him.

Like I said, rose up fast that kid did. I 'member when he was still an Ensign,

Malrone drank back a third of his glass in one fell swoop

But that was a looong time ago.

Anderson turned around, suddenly Malrone's eyes widened and he slapped on a fake smile, hazardly giving the Vice Admiral a quick wave. As he was smiling and waving, he said one simple line to Jimmy:

Best not piss him off then.

The Vice Admiral gave a quick smile and turned back around to his drink. Malrone gave a sort of sighing groan of relief and turned back to Jimmy.

So, those spots in LA you were tellin' me about?

// oorp: Since I lost my LN char thru the innactivity wipe after some PC issues, Im RPing it (as allready posted in the message dump in RP) as if my ship had been shot up badly, and drifted out of system before repairs were even partly completed and it was gone for a while.

Captain Jenkin shiv walked into the bar, his uniform was coverd in burn marks, none of them fresh.

"BARKEEP!" he bellowed "I want something suitable to de-greese a junkers ship. And I want it on the rocks. And I want a whole bottle"

The bartender, not in the mood to have to deal with an incident, quickly decided to forget the flavored water known as Liberty Ale and immeditly grabbed a bottle of the good stuff, an overly large shot glass, and a glass which he filled with ice.

Shiv grabbed the booze, and the ice, leaving the shot glass behind, and walked over to an empty corner table. He poured some of the bottle onto the ice, and took a large sip.

Noticing several junior officers staring at him, he returned their looks.
"One of you rooks go find Gafwmn, let him know that the Leyte Gulf is back, and will be joining him in the zone."

"Bah" he mutterd to himself "too much to do and too little time to do it. Damned war's gotten too good at fixing up shot up ships, wont have hardly any down time it seems."
