Average Taxed when Trading: 2-3 Million
Cargo When Trading: Half to All Usually

I do about the same when I'm out their pirating.
Changes depending on destination, cargo, attitude, etc. Lots of pirates charge differently depending on you.

Quote:Ever think that they may just be acting this way to get to their dream RP quicker? don't judge everyone because of a few, because I for one am a "greedy" miner but not because I want a capital ship. Also, why do people keep saying that miners are greedy? why should we share our wealth with other people. Miners have their characters to provide for (excluding me) and maybe, just maybe they want to RP a capital ship? If you don't want to, well that's fine, don't ruin it for others. When they buy their first cap it's a whole new learning curve, you must give them time to fit into it the new role and figure out the ins and outs of this new found responsibility. Give these people time! Sure their are some bad eggs out there, but please for the sake of people who mine and trade in order to achieve something other then total RP for that character, don't judge everyone by a select few.

EDIT: it is my view that lolminers and lolpirates are as bad as each other.

Lolminers and lolpirates are both bad and get on my nerves.

Greedy miners=Those who run, fight, die without saying more than two words then want to whinne over private comms then go onto the forums and whine some more.

Out of all the people that I have pirated almost none have even tried to do any type of RP and just whine about the price. When I meet a miner who attempts to RP for a reason other than stalling for a gank squad of backup then... I actually don't know.

Not that I've really played any of my pirates recently

(As I've taken quite the liking to my Phantom and other Terrorist characters)

But when I was active on any of my pirates I would generally charge between 500k and 2mil, and if I stopped multiple transports I would charge 2mil, no not 2mil from both of them, but rather one million from each of them totaling to two million.

I also sometimes took cargo, but only enough to fill my hold which was rather small. So I would usually take cargo in conjunction with a fee of between 500k and one million.

Hope that helps.

IS their an RP Option Demand, I've been making cargo ships send supplies to The Genesis. It's a lot better RP wise or sometimes I'll ask for a joke.

Ok, thanks for clearing up what you meant about greedy miners, I run all the time unless it is a pirate that I know I will get some decent RP out of and if I'm caught by a pirate that I don't know then I RP anyway (I see it as within my RP to run because I like the thrill and the challenge and so does my character). If you want to RP with a miner who will actually RP back, look me up I'm Bear in game. Also where do you pirate Reacher? that could also be the problem.

I consider if I should just sporadically open fire on any pirate that gets me for 10M...

And in my sanction report say he had it coming.

I would charge 10M if it was a Greedy Power Trader who made me chase him down and didn't RP at all. Chances are if your RP with me I won't charge you and if I do it's always fair.

If I ever found a greedy power trader, I would force him into a perfectly roleplayed corner in which he would give incentive for me to utterly destroy himself.

Average Tax: 2,5 - 3 million
Average Cargo: no average , because the demands had been to different (30% up to the whole cargo)

I don't complain about pirates asking for 500k or 1M, I pay at once.

But a demand of 3M for a cargo that is worth 500k and I'm stopped
nearby the station I picked my cargo (or even when I'm empty) seems
ridiculous (in my eyes).
On the other hand: If i'm close to the station my cargo is destinated for
I'm willing to pay that 4 or 5 M (cause I'll realize my profit in a short time).
I agree to OPG Ivan and other pirates that a trader shouldn't discuss
a demand of 30% of his cargo.
Some million credits if he's stopped with ore (especially in Tokyo) - no problem.
And, no doubt, if you are pirated near your destination, where you can
realize your profit, don't cry about 2 or maybe 4M (it depends on the profit),
but stopped far away from the destination I'm not ready to pay a foolish sum
(but, of course, to hand over my cargo) - it's not unusual to be pirated 2 (or more) times
on a single route between the Taus and Liberty (of course it's not usual, but it happens).
