They learned to RP.

edit: to some extent.

Eventually Disco will run out of traders as the pirates numbers grow at an alarming rate and traders get increasingly pissed off by "10milordai" every 5 minutes, then they'd have to pirate each other. I await this day.

I pretty much trade for as much time as I pirate. Pirate until some Navy/LPI/LSF finds me, fight them, die, then get on my trader.

Most I've ever made in one pirating session is like 4 million.

I think it is a very viable way to make money. You might not make money as quickly as trading unless you are a ridiculous pirate, but you make more than enough to survive or outfit your ships. As long as your dream isn't to buy a cruiser or battle ship you should make more than enough money pirating.

If you have more fun doing it I say just pirate.

What I do to get money when im bored of trading for the day is, on my BAF BS I go to Stokes and kill loads and loads of Kusari capital NPC squads and collect their pilots.

I made 100 mil selling about 150 cruiser commanders before. Its reallllly great.

Pirating was never meant to be a type of income, but I suppose you could do it.

The Hogosha Cargo Piracy is quite profitable this days.
And the Hogosha RP is funny too.The traders are stunned when you explain them why do you pirate them.

Well in my position as head of PENN, pirating is not an option. If you pay for escorts good enough then they wont turn to piracy to make a living. Heck some people Ive seen now run escort services throughout the system. So pirates arent an issue much to me. Sure youll rake in less but either way it has a sense of accomplishment to keep others on the right track.

By using the fact that traveling without the tradelanes takes a long long time according to the RP? Like days or weeks, i'm not really sure.

Well, i like pirating other pirates. It's much more fun then pirating silent traders, traders who start to talk about how much their cargo is worth and why they won't care if you blow them up or traders who start to talk (OoRP in system chat, of course) only after they're are blown up. Oh, not to mention the traders who start shooting just when you are typing. Well... its their loss.
