Yeah I definitely like the first model better. Those front flappy bits need to be brought back to provide more peripheral vision to the crew. Other then that it's a great model.

I agree with this. IMO the Orca looks like nothing else in the BHG shipline. Your first model really fits the bill, Jinx.

good model but its a shame it'll be underpowered seeing as its gonna be a generic ship.
EDIT: First one looks liie a thrasher and a ideal gunboat design.
the second just looks liek a large fighter.
as to what I'd use, depending on their statistics I'd rather use the first model.
and Dieter, the old Corsair GB that you call a Lunchbox is Talon Karde's Wilde Carde from Star Wars, so it IS gonna be bloky, and I had to fly that piece of garbage back when I was on -another server-. =P

thats what came to mind immediately when i saw the first image. imo, it somewhat fits as a gunship/gunboat design.

I just don't get it, how civilians makes warships. The desing and everything is nice, but, well gunboat is a warship. Now.. generic... well I just can't understand.

From looking at the original design, it looks great as usual Jinx, you are truly a master at your art. However, the ship looks a bit odd, maybe it's me but it looks like an assault rifle from where I'm sitting.
I could see the ship being more of the wide type of ship. It still looks good, just a little off to me.
As for the stats, eh, I'd go with something that can do some damage but not be a horrible boat. Maybe scale it down a bit, give it close stats to the Zoner GB with a less cargo hold and call it good...I'm just saying that because I love how the Zoner GB handles. XD

I like the first model and it would fit very well a project I'm setting up with Karolis. High defense, packed as a single block and the good lines for running. I wish the first model comes in the mod, that would help me a lot or I'll have to look for a Rogue GB, BHG GS or BHG Orca (that will make it harder).
The second model looks like a x-wing fighter craft. Not really what I expect from the gunboats.

Great model/idea Jinx, however I have to say that for this to work mercs and civies would have to be restricted to civie ships w/o SRP and faction approval.
From there, make a broader line of civie combat ships, but have them 1on1 be weaker than comprable military/faction gear.
