"You are mad to love paperwork. I used to be Secretary of the Special Operations Division, in fact I founded it. It was originally Department of Intelligence which I was the Director of. It all got confusing with so many Directors, so all department heads ranks became secretary. And in that time I founded the Spec ops. I also introduced the department you are now a part of. Being on the Command Directorate can be lonely, not many of the agents think I am approachable in a social manner."

Julia let out a big sigh and continued to drink her wine.

(After a while noise is heard on the background, few agents which were enjoying drinks in the bar start leaving at the sight of Deputy Director Christian Deus.)

He goes straight to the bartender and tells him:

-A glass of Liberty Ale!!...(says with an angry tone and starts looking around the bar for people, finds Julia and Emily and other known agents at a table far from him and heads towards them)

-Hello, Julia, hello Emily...guess from where I'm coming? ...FROM Texas System...and guess what ? Rheinlanders attacked again! (Julia tries to remind him that she was there earlier) I know , I know ...I saw you there Julia right when I arrived...sad that you lost your ship, but your safe now, I see your enjoying the wine in the bar.
Now I've came here to tell you that we have managed to push them back. (finishes to drink the Liberty Ale)
Now listen to me! (yells a bit) all of you! we must increase the patrols in the Texas System, we can't let attacks like this one happen that often, Rheinlanders got us unprepared many times already!

I will take my leave now, I'm not that kind of man that stays in the bar all day long...oh I almost forgot, nice job with the investigation Emily.. keep it going, I'm watching you.

(gets up the chair and leaves fast towards the entrace to bar where he is stopped by a man) :

James: Your ship is ready Director Deus! fully loaded with nuclear mines and shield batteries and I fixed that problem with your left wing.

-Very well , James go ahead and take a drink I launch into space now.

(alarm is heard on the background---Attention , Attention!---Dock 1 Doors are now open! Launch in progress)

*Emily watched Christian leave the bar. Julia and Emily sat there silently, a man came in seeming to try and someone*

" Do we have a Emily Anderson here ?!" The man yelled. Emily mumbled something before shouting
"HERE !" Julia smiled at Emily as she stood to give the man less distance to travel, Emily came and sat down again with a small paper. Julia tried to read the writing on the paper but it was hand written making it harder to read. Emily read the letter not noticing Julia trying to get in a better view.
Emily sighed.

" Great" Emily said being sarcastic.
" What ?" Julia asked.
" Nothing, just, something going on at home. " Emily replied, taking a sip from her glass.

Julia couldn't help but laugh at what just happened.

"That must have been the fastest drink from the Deputy Director I have ever seen. Guess he was in a hurry, me... I need down time after a combat situation."

She looked at Emily...

"I hope it's nothing too serious at home girl, and remember... My office door is always open."

For the first time in many months David stepped inside the bar. The decor had changed a bit since his last visit. Many agents were adding decorative objects here and there to make the place more lively and enjoyable. Multicolored lights were acting as ceiling moldings. For him, it seemed like the bar decided to celebrate Christmas, but that was too hungover to remove the decoration. There was even an elk head on the wall with lights passing around its woods. Quite a funny sight.

On some walls were also hanged battle trophies. On one of the walls there was a part of a Nephtys Cockpit with multiple war marks on its side showing the amount of ships that bugger took down. 23. David wondered how the pilot finally died. Guess he ran out of luck he thoughts.

On the edge of the bar table was a long tube encrusted in the wood with a blue liquid flowing through it. From what he heard some pilots from the Patrol Squadron Epsilon decided to put the some of the remains of a nomad ship in an industrial blender to create the liquid. With electricity, the Liquid was emitting a small amount of luminescence. A little sick but being away from civilization for long periods can sometimes make people do silly stuff.

After his "inspection" of the bar from the entrance door. He started to move out of the shadow cast by the doorway into view of the patrons. If many had left upon Deus's sudden and brief appearance, the few unfamiliar clients remaining, mainly new pilots, all made a quick, yet clumsy, salute to the Director and left through the main door with a hint of guilt sparkling in their eyes.

"Rookies" He whispered to himself I hope someday one will have the guts to stay in the bar and keep on drinking.

He continued to move toward the bartender and ordered a Grateful Dead. Since he entered the bar, everything quieted down a little bit. Out of nowhere David turned toward the bartender.

"Am I that scary or what??" He asked with impulsively. Color left the face of the bartender for a short second and his respiration suddenly increased for a very brief time.

"N-No Mister Copperfield. Here's your drink sir and have a good evening" He responded

*sighs*Guess I am... How inconvenient. "Thanks for the drink." He then headed towards Julia's table with his drink in hand and took a seat.

"Greetings folks, I hope I am not disturbing anyone. I need a fair bit of relaxation after a long day at work. Disrupted the trade for a few hours in Omega-7, that was fun, sadly quite not the challenger I hoped. The RM never came to help the miners. One of them even tried to make me believe he was a LN Admiral. You can imagine my reaction at him" He then takes a sip of his drink.

Tharog frowns at the sight of the LSF Director, then shrugs and orders another Liberty Ale.

Norman drinks some ale, and puts away the LPI Badge.

"It has it's benefits. Believe you me. So, you are in HS?"

Julia smiled at the Director and took a sip of her drink.

"Hey boss, its rare we see you in here. I noticed you cleared the place." Julia laughed and so did David and Emily.

"You aren't scary boss, just like Deus, you hardly come here and the rookies thought it was a formal visit."

She handed him a data pad containing a report of a skirmish in Texas with the Rheinlanders.

"My Executioner was lost to friendly fire boss, damn gunboat captains don't know their asses from their elbows. Lucky the auto ejection system works or I'd be toast."

"I will have to join you next time on your missions into Rheinland."

Julia took another sip of her wine and continued to observe the fascinating floating rocks outside.

Radclyffe noticed Wolfe at one of the tables and quickly took out a LPI Parking Ticket, crumpled it into a paper ball and thew it at Wolfe, turning to his ale to look innocent.

Julia looked around and knew where this "ticket" came from...

"Look boy, if you think I am paying that you are mistaken. Take it up with Human Resources, they take care of stuff like that."

She turned back to her rock observations.
