Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - casero - 07-22-2010 @Tycho: That idea didn't come from Zelot or the devteam (or I don't know if they thought on that either), but Lotek (KNF leader) and me (KNF Co-Leader) talked about it, do you think that our characters based on samurai beliefs would betray their emperor? Not Sulu or Hiroito would do such a thing, even if the Emperor were not there to fight alongside with them. We decided to leave our characters there as [KNF] (You can call them Ronin even though it's not quite accurate as we follow our Master, the Emperor) and keep up the fight we have been fighting for so long now. Even if Igiss wouldn't have posted this, our idea was to keep them in Leeds, and even more, we were going to fight against BAF still, but seems that is not going to be able anymore, not a big problem. I don't know if it's a new NPC faction called Ronin, not that I care anyway (And I don't think it's a new NPC faction), as we were going to do it as KNF. The UC need a supplier, the Hogosha have the supplies. Put two and two together. Look at the modern day drug trade. Mafia's in the USA sure don't care for Columbian drug cartels, or for Japanese Yakuza or Chinese Triads, but they'll sure as hell buy product from them. It's a mutually beneficial business relationship. I also kind of find it amusing how people are trying to say that the story written by Igiss about the RP of a faction created by Igiss doesn't make sense. You all know more about the UC than the creator of the UC? Perhaps before you all started defining your RP you should have waited for the writer to finish the story so you wouldn't have conflicts? Perhaps? Just a thought. Still, the essence of my point stands; it's awfully rude to just take the name of an established, albeit unofficial, faction. Maybe not illegal, but rude nevertheless. I find it really, really amusing that you assume that I didn't check with the people in question. You know what they say when you assume.... Edit@ Tycho, sir, you really have no clue what you are talking about. I am assuming, that to warrant a mention, the Ronin as they are called are getting their own NPC faction and ID. If I'm wrong, then you're right, I do have no idea. But the point I'm trying to make is, it's basically just a faction springing up over night. Factions aren't exactly made easily, particularly small splinter factions like these ones. You'd need a ton of ingame RP, logged, along with a well fleshed out writeup and approval from the admin team. And if you're planning on countering with Gallia, it doesn't really work, since it's an entire house. Edit: And why the heck did that quote Casero..? The Ronin are a storyline faction that have come in with the addition of Gallia. The Gallia story brings changes to the areas around it, the Ronin are one of those changes. If you read the storyline for the Ronin you will see two things. First they have nothing at all to do with the Ronin| currently in game, second the group sprang up overnight because they actually spring up over night in the storyline. Some KNF get abandoned and left behind in Bretonia, so they make their own way. This happened suddenly, virtually over night! Rather than roll over and disperse, they find ways to survive and fight against what they see as the real enemy while keeping their identity as Kusari warriors and their loyalty to what they see as the true Emperor of Kusari. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - Zelot - 07-22-2010 Tycho, how would you suggest a group that is brought about by the story line, very suddenly, do years of ingame and forum rp? Hmmm? And yes, Gallia is the perfect comparison, thank you very much, you have just made my point. If anyone were to make a faction of Libertonian raiders trapped behind enemy lines in Rheinland, I somehow wouldn't see it getting very far. But I guess my entire argument is invalid since they're just going to be using the KNF ID/IFF anyway, which's cool with me. Yes but if the person who created it was Igiss, I do somehow think it would get far.
