If this doesn't work I'm just gonna go and buy Microsoft. How expensive can it be? But have no fear, I have a backup plan if it doesn't work. I'm young right, init blood, or whatever the chavs say. I'm intelligent and have a high likelihood of getting a nice job. Well, thats what me and some teachers/tutors think anyway. So, it's gonna be on my list of things to buy. Other than the moon and stuff like that. Hehe, but seriously. If I get enough I damn will buy it. The source or whatever we're looking for. Couple of grand is what we're guessing right? How hard can it be? That is if money exists in the future... or even microsoft... or most of our players come to think of it, it is gonna take some time....

What we need is a rich fan of discovery who can afford to actually buy the source code and donate it to modders, since rich guys rarely play games like this it is unlikely but man can live in hope.

You know, dealing with all the trolls on these boards is just plain tiresome. You should just, like, not post.

Thanks.

I haven't heard anything since that one email from Jorg. I have sent several brief follow up emails to him and some of the other contacts with no answer. If you would like to try a different approach, like contacting the appropriate people at Microsoft, that would be more than welcome. I do not have time to put such action together at the moment.

If you can pull this off then Kudos!

I'd like for you to keep trying in hopes that I am wrong about the Freelancer Source Code. See I've seen true and actual attempts to gain this code. I've read correspondance through e-mails of the very original developers who were part of the Freelancer project. All tries have come up short. Despite even positive surprise by the original developers of continued interest in this game the attempts still come short. My theory has long been that Microsoft just flat out lost/deleted it quite a long time ago in a past internal infrastructure change. It happens. Still check it out, theories aren't facts so I defenitely could be wrong on this one.

IT MAKES ME WANT TO SWEAR AT YOU FOR THINKING THAT I KNOW WHAT TROLL MEANS

After a quick google search:
Ah, so Mr Wikipedia says: In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Okaydokey, lets go through this. Inflammatory, is anything set on fire? I don't think so. Extraneous, did anyone strain to read? Negative. Off-topic? Nope, completely on topic. My post was completely about The campaign for Freelancer's source code. Did anyone have an emotional response to my post? Answers on a postcard please. And did I disrupt anything? Nope, don't think so. Now lets look at your post. I wasn't set on fire bit I did strain to restrict myself from swearing. Was it off topic? Yes, completely not about The campaign for freelancers source code. Did you create an emotional response? Yes, clearly or I would not be responding using facts from the internet. And did you disrupt normal on-topic discussion? Absolutely, as it has led to this. Will you reply to this post? Hopefully not. As that in itself will be a "troll."

I mean, mocking the OP is pretty much trolling.
