I for one.....am rather against having an entire faction with the namechange problem....
So, unless someone has some reason that persuades me to put my faction in that rather poor position....

I can accept SF simply becoming QCR.
(After all, its SF that's gone through a rough time, and been given over to Unselie by Hyperwave. QCO/QCP aren't the faction on life support here)
Then QCO and QCP need no name change.
HOWEVER, I am only one SF member. You should still do a poll to determine if the other SF members can live with the QCR solution. Change should never be rammed down peoples' throats.
Then assuming that most SF are ok with it, the way forward is clear.
1) All SF characters get names changes to QCR. (Queen Carina's Regulars) For instance, my character [SF]-SFF-Isaac.Brock becomes [QCR]-Isaac.Brock. (PLEASE ask admins if the NCC could be skipped, just for this case)
2) You change the faction status for QCO/QCP to "Queen Carina's Armed Forces" (Or something similar that suits Your Majesty), and update the Roster accordingly.

I don't want to request special treatment from the admin team. If paying the two million is difficult, I'm sure the Admiralty can fund it.
Also, we probably won't use '-' in the tag, unless it is an extra ship, mostly;)

Sorry I have not posted earlier but I have not read the forums for a few days.
Ok now to go the opposite way and be SF centric, I personaly think that the SF tag should be kept in some way as there is an extreamly large amount of history behind it (once asked Lancer about it and took him over an hour to explain) aswell as being one of the oldest factions here.
Though that is probaly only my opinion and no one else will agree but I am just attached as I joined the SF on my first day here and have always been a part of it for my 2 years of playing discovery.
Also as to not using the second part of the name (the one for ship class), yes it is true it puts us at a disadvantage when people use it so they can bring ships that work well against ours but I do like using them as it can also work the other way where people bring ships to make the fight a good balance rather than bringing a battleship to take on 2 fighters. (though we seem to lack people who like fair fights these days)
As to making everyone have a Hussar and a Templar I do agree that everyone should have a Hussar or a Templar but I feel it is rather unfair to make people have both as to be honest if I had a Hussar it would only get used to make sure it does not get removed in a player wipe as it is a really sad light fighter (but I wont go down that road in this thread)

'Sirius Federation' is a silly name. They don't operate all over Sirius, and are not federal in their operation.
As to ships, we are not forcing Templars on people, but Hussars are a must. The Hussar is brilliant. The Templar is a sitting duck for those sake-swilling Kusari buggers.

Ok this is going away from the point of the thread but anyway.
Ok if you think the Hussar is great then please do this one thing for me, go fly an Eagle for about 5-10 minutes then swap to your Hussar and tell me that it is a great ship. (if you actualy do that you will see what I mean)

And after discussions on a couple of different threads, Unselie posted her decision:
SF characters get renamed QCR for Queen Carina's Regulars, and QCO, QCP and QCR become parts of Queen Carina's Fleet (the name of the new, single Bretonian faction)
I expect, as one of the former SF admirals, you or stratus will be in command of the QCR subfaction, or co-command, or something. Up to Unselie.
My characters are getting renamed as follows:
[SF]-SFGB-Avro_Arrow becomes [QCR]Avro_Arrow
[SF]-SFF-Isaac_Brock becomes [QCR]Isaac_Brock
[SF]-SFF-Isaac.Brock becomes [QCR]Isaac.Brock
This is the way it is.
