A certain death penalty suggestion. - Torch Rose - 08-29-2011 ' Wrote:Do you really want this? I would leave for a different server instantly.Pretty much this. There's a reason why I don't have a merc/BH. I don't want all my money to be sunk into paying the fees for dying, so I'm against Discovery EVE A certain death penalty suggestion. - rewritable - 08-29-2011 Without death penalty: fly reckless, die, have a laugh and shrug it off With death penalty: fly reckless, die, enter holy rage Most of drama already is caused because someone killed somebody somewhere. Death penalty would just add a tiny bit of sensible reason to rage. Making people fly ships responsibly - that's cool; doing that at expense of the sanity of community, no, hell, no. There's a reason why we can't have nice things. A certain death penalty suggestion. - Ninefour - 08-29-2011 NO WAY BRAH. A certain death penalty suggestion. - Zeela - 08-29-2011 I would understand if for example capital ships had cooldown after death, so they could undock after 15 mins or something, to simulate some repair time, if you want to make things more slower. But please dont punish players for dieing, i know some abuse it for faster travel etc., but it would see a lot of quits because of that. A certain death penalty suggestion. - Agmen of Eladesor - 08-29-2011 Having some kind of penalty at death would be in RP. That's always been an issue - other than losing missiles or regens, you really don't have any kind of consequences when you die. That's made for some quite unreasonable actions on here. Getting your ship blown up in combat SHOULD have some consequences. After all, if it was actually your skinny butt in that cockpit, would you really be so brash and bold in telling the pirate to kill you? Didn't think so... A certain death penalty suggestion. - Daedric - 08-29-2011 No thanks. If I wanted to play a game like WoW I would be playing a game like WoW. A better idea, is what Athenian proposed a few months back: When you die on a ship, it is locked out for a set time frame depending on a number of factors. This removed the need for the four hour rule and is applied evenly to all ships. Traders included. Of course that system is also open to abuse in that you could lock another player completely out of his ships. Of course if there was no reason for the attack and its clear its being done for ooRP reasons, reporting to the admins will/should resolve that issue. A certain death penalty suggestion. - Jack_Henderson - 08-29-2011 Dying is the consequence of losing pvp. Losing hardly ever feels nice. There is no need to "punsish" the onle who already lost. So death/having lost is penalty enough. Also for traders: More punishment for the ones that already lose many millions by being blown up? And pirates that will even make higher demands because there is even more damage that they can do? No... really. No need to create more rage. There is already enough. A certain death penalty suggestion. - Blighter - 08-29-2011 I support this idea fully[color=#FFCCFF]. A certain death penalty suggestion. - Hell Hunter - 08-29-2011 IMO lame idea. I don't even have 70 mill, die in a npc mission and lose money. |
