Then you're the sucker in that story. Should've changed route, they were fully in their rights. In fact, pirates are encouraged to pirate the same trader through the same lane more than once.
Um after being hit everyone jumps back into lane to continue his route. Does not make it ok to hit him again father up the same TL. This is the kind of mentality that is ruining Discovery.

But it has been stated in last few paged. Kill all pirates on site. No more fines, no more we escort you out of system. Just blow them to hell. The Pirates want unfun RP against traders, then give them unfun RP from lawfuls to. Basically "your under arrest pirate, eject from ship for recovery or we fire" "no! ok Pew Pew your dead" That is basically the same as "2 mil or dai" BS which lately i am seeing 5-10 mil. Pirating is no longer RP, it is just PvP excuse/lazy way to earn cash.
