' Wrote:@MassD.: I like these bugs very much, textures are kinda white though. You should reconsider retexturing either them into GB style, or retexturing GB in these style.
yeah I was thinking the same thing, would also like to see the tridente given some of the model elements

ye ye thanks, as for OC GB textures, probably it's only a question of making new material library.

' Wrote:The new sair ships are in keeping with the Sair style these ships dont look BWish so why would they be outcast ships they look more coalition than anything else, in fact the RoS Shipline is about as close to a Shipline upgrade the Outcasts could have as they look BWish. This line here dont even brush that surface so please lets not make the same mistake that was made withe the hessians line.
Frankly, I find it a very big miss in vanilla that a major unlawful faction (as big/bigger then Corsairs) does not get a shipline of their own. I will put that down to devly time constraints with the peeps who made vanilla - there's remnants of at least 2 redesigns in the vanilla datafiles.

The Outcasts were offered their own snub line a number of times, the attempts always failed before models were made for one reason or another. These models are quite nice, and I believe the designer is making them in accordance with the new requirements in regards to 2 (for bigger ships 3) levels of detail. All in all I feel these ships will be a worthwhile addition to the mod, which won't be out of place.

OC who want the borderworlds line can still use it of course.

probably for color, maybe for cockpit, but not for other things ... look at the intakes on the side of the pontoons, that style is different from your filtered intake

Every faction using originaly Sabres (both Vanilia and disco additions) have already their own ships with exception of Outcasts.

HF - Sabre-Guardian hybrid
RoS - pimped BW shipline
Hessian - their own inventions, also usable by Bundschuh
Hackers - currently they "lost" snubs but their NPC's still use primarly.
Outcasts - still flying very same Sabre as any random freelancer?

' Wrote:the bomber has bigger components: engines, undercarriage, hull.

Yeah I noticed after I posted the damn comment:wacko:
Now that I think about it, the VHF looks a bit fat and looks more like a bomber. So maybe a smaller undercarriage or something for the VHF, to make it look more like a angry wasp, instead of a fat bumble bee.
The texture is perfect though, maybe darken it a wee bit, but that's it.
