' Wrote:We will try to help everyone. Regardless.
Noble, but futile. There are very few people willing to help, and far too many people who need it.

Doesnt matter.

We are still helping. We can only help one person at a time.
So thats what I'm doing.

I don't think this should be a knock on Elvin. Just a good reminder for everyone--so it was worth mentioning.

I saw Elvin's rp and patience earlier today and he was doing fine--despite an "old hand" giving him a little attitude.

No body is perfect, but a good saying is; "Attitude is more important than fact."

My last thing for today.... I am helping people more than I should... Ilike jus discuising how the RP should like, how should they play...where should they act... Most of people who met me can confirm that... So why in the world all the hatred is raining on my name? Cos I have politely asked Kusarian enemy to not enter Tokyo? Oh? Thats not fair, that really isnt... Sorry guys, but i feel really disgusted today. I see it was a mistake, I wont ever help anyone again since only think i an get is a flaming, shouting and threating.

My neighbor wanted to try Freelancer out a few months ago.
He decided to make a pirate. Thus he started flying around trying out differnet ships.
Then he enters Gamma. Yes he was flying a Thor and also stated in OPEN SYSTEM chat that he was changing his rep to Corsair as he liked the look of the ships. He was allowed to pass by an independent Corsair but not the leader o OPG who promptly stated "We dont want your kind here" and proceeded to blast him to bits. All the while he was informing this *cough* person that he was changing his rep and ship.

So there is another example of how some new people are welcomed to the server.

*By the way, No he will not play on the server again because of the attitude presented by OPG which showed that RP is one thing, but ignoring people just means your a, (other word for Donkey)

elvin - I cannot speak for everyone else, but I will say this:

It is very rarely anyones intention to be harmful, especially to newer players. to any player just starting out the first few experiences here can have a huge weight on how they play, and if they want to play.

I think any reaction that you had was far more towards Silent, and it is reflected as such.

I had been on my angel for 3 hours just prior to this. which only frustrates me further.

*gets on soap box*

This is something each player must realize for him/her self. If we do not foster the individuals within the community, the server will continue to deteriorate.

It is no fault of the admins, or the rules, it is OUR responsibility as players to raise the next generation of role players, and the best thing ANYONE can do is to LEAD BY EXAMPLE.

*gets off soap box*

...Helping too much? Did I read some of these things right?

No such thing as helping too much, only such thing as caring too little!

My mentor always hits me with this one: 'Great people bring greatness to every little thing they do, wether it is speaking to people or merely fetching them a glass of water. Greatness is the block of ice and the slice of lemon that were never requested...'

'It's the easiest thing in the world to be polite madam... but some people seem to love life the hard way, and when their selfish attitudes reap the anguish they have sown, they are the first to ask 'why is life punishing me so?' - Winston Curchill (a very impolite man).

'I love people who help the underdog, there's something about them that makes me want to pay them more and promote them faster...' - Donald Trump

...and one more:

'How they treat the little people is strangely not how they desire to be treated themselves! It saddens me greatly that mankind does not see the power of compassion and grace...' - Nelson Mandela.

Often ingame I recieve ALOT of private messages of questions being asked by newbies. I usually respond with detailed information if I have the knowledge to their question. The samething should be done if a newbie askes a question in system chat, go into private coms or group, and from there work it out. I have to agree with some of the posts here. Few new guys tend to be rude and when we respond with force we are labled the bad guys. Now i do not agree with some of the ways newbies are treated, but some of them are just as rude as the guy speaking to them.

Edited: We get some new guys in our group just looking for a clan. We let them know whats right and whats wrong and give them a test run. When someone reports they did something ooc or oorp we confront them again to adjust to roleplay. The usual they get is their gas miner transport then later a fighter once their rp is fine.
