people can start trading with a 180 cargo CSV nowadays if they read the console news -.-
Don't tell me it's hard to make money with that, it's like slapping those in the face who started with a Starflier -.-

People who like reading walls of text on the forums, play EVE, not Freelancer.
And restarts sort of screw your reputation with hostile houses.

Avelanche: You show no reading done what soever by the looks of your posts...

All you want is mining to be off, you dont state why, just the same old 'oh so constroctive non deletable posts' while people with structured posts actually get deleted.

RP was good, untill boring pirates comlpained about 'lol caps'. Well guess what:

90% of the 'roleplay-pirates' dont actually rp. Just demand, and kills.

If anything, admins should be stricter on lolcaps instead of punnsihing the miners that actually do rp.

Pirates who say tax or i take your life - wont ever pay. If you want to tax me, be ready to actually RP. And live with the flow. Freelancer isnt a rising game.

Ah come on. This is ridiculous. If you want new people to come to a game that is almost 10 years old, you should try hard to make it easy to get new players into the game fully. That means having about 25 millions at your command, to invest a bit and start off on your own after that initial help.

Mining allowed them, after having bought a mining ship, to move on on their own and get into the game on even terms (in a VHF with Codenames) after about 1 month of regular playing.

That's slow enough.

And no: not all miners want capships!!! It's just a myth cited to shoot against the players of miners.

@Sang

It's nice to RP when you know your target starts cruising to the base 25K ahead the moment you're 14K on the scanners (Because you obviously are red on HUD with your corsair IFF). If they stop, I'd talk, if they keep trying to make for it, they'll be gunned down. Capishe?

Huh?

Pirates don't like to wait for all the lawfuls you called via private channel.
This is the way to do it.
First, comply with the demand, give me all your CDs and if the location is remote enough I might stick for a chat.

Mining is bad.

Why do you think people have that much battleships? And they don't even do any RP with it.

LEAVE IT OFF YOU'RE NOT HELPING THE PVP/RP RATIO

I was just cruising thru Cambridge in my IMG gunboat and someone credited me with 100,000 semolas. I am now subject to indiscriminate pity. How sad is that?

Lol, 500 replies:crazy: Leave it off, it's better like that.

Don't state why? Bloody hell its like talking to a brick wall. I'm too lazy to go and find out so I'll just retype.

I don't want it back because it's done more bad things than good. Okay so a few factions will face hard times ahead, its not like we are pioneering here everyone... this sort of thing has happened before and we moved on. Only issue now is that this community has got an increased number of utter whiners. Activity moves around Sirius. Always has done, always will do. The mining mod brought it to certain areas such as Tau-23/Dublin/Omega-7. Oh no, now these systems won't have a bunch of miners, oh wait, they can instead now move to the other 131 systems in Discovery.

My other point is that people are just greedy. Hardly any of you think of the issues of the systems RP future and factions, I do admit some have been concerned with some faction activity but even the mining groups have other tasks that don't include shooting a rock. Majority of the whiners out there are all basically saying this...

Quote:Turn it back on, because now I can't get as many credits.

And where do these credits end up? In a bloody battleship. If you say you cannot get enough credits by trading, then you are...
A) Trading incorrectly
B) Wanting to get a Capital VIII, Battleship in a short period of time.

The Battleships were originally intended as vast, rare ships on this server, just because they are now as easy to get as a shag in a brothel doesn't mean it should stay that way. With mining out of the picture, the server will be better.

For the years this server has been alive, we all have managed to get money to build our characters to the limit with trading. Its good, its effective. If you argue differently then you are just wanting a vast number of credits in a short period of time. You have all been spoilt with credits, then when your ability to get it decreases, you all cry.

You are now brining up the issue of piracy, thats not important here.
