Angel Message Dump - n00bl3t - 08-17-2010 Pulled a shift. At least half an hour. Helped with transfers, the location of systems and /pimpship. Not much else. Just helped someone with the rules, and whether people were allowed to make excessive demands. Anyway, need to get back to work. Angel Message Dump - aerelm - 08-18-2010 [font=Book Antiqua]Was on my Angels for 2 Hours on and off. First, Got contacted by someone I had helped a few days ago, And he was thanking me for the help. Seems he had got a new Ship and is Happy with it. Meanwhile, a Junker contacted me with a Question about trading between Gallia and Sirius. I gave him a few tips and then he asked for Sell points of a few commodities, which I answered. Another person was curios if there is any command that shows him list of Slovakian Players! Well, Answer to that one was pretty obvious! Meanwhile, someone contacted me and seemed like the one he wanted to attack was trying to Rules-Lawyer his way out of the Situation, but Although there was nothing wrong with the case, The attacker wanted to make sure before opening fire. After this, I lingered around for a while, and seeing it was all quiet, decided to take a break. Later, went on my Alpha Angel to help a friend transfer some Equipment, and decided to linger around cause Alpha was more or less crowded. Among the crowd, there was an Outcast IDed Tridente which had Bundschuh IFF. Well, Seems he didn't have Bundschuh on his Rep Sheet, and refused to /droprep when I told him to. He was afraid to loose Rep with Outcasts, because that was the Highest Rep on his Sheet... It took me a good 15 minutes to tell him why a simply /droprep would fix his problem, and gladly, he was convinced in the end and docked to do a dropred but seems he didn't relog although I told him to. His IFF will be fixed the next time he logs in, Hopefully! Then, moved to Pennsy. First, someone had problem with /movechar, So, I told him to set the MoveCode again and seems it fixed the problem. Meanwhile, someone was looking for a good Trade ship with Junker ID and IFF. His only problem was the price of the Ships, so I suggested some 2k Ships for him, which fits the Junker Ship use restrictions as well. Also, Scanning the nearby Ships causally, I noticed a Researcher IDed Heron, trading Neon, which is not allowed according to the ID Restrictions. So, I pointed that out and he docked to change his ID by getting a temporary Freelancer ID so he can change to Indie Trader later. Then, things got a bit out of hand when someone told another person in System Chat that they can't use Civi ID after being lvl30 and I had to point out that the rule is changed and the infocard is outdated, and there is no problem with having Civilian ID after reaching level 30. After that, I met a new player who despite being new, had read enough about Discovery to know how things work around here, so I directed him to Forums and told him about Registering and also about making a thread in Welcome Section. Later, someone contacted me from Gamma, so seeing Pennsy was rather quiet, I decided to go there and then answer his question. Seems he wanted to change from Order to Corsair, but the Repninja on Order ID didn't let him take any missions and he couldn't buy Recruit ID because he was flying a Hathor (which he was planning to trade in for a Imperator) So, I suggested he docks at Tripoli and buys a recruit ID, then ask a friend to do missions for him while he's still docked. So he can get enough rep and buy Corsair ID and Ship without being seen with Recruit IDed Hathor doing Corsair Missions! Last one was a level 16 Player with leet terms in his Char Name, and gladly, when I asked him to make a new Char, he listened and made a char with understandable Name. After that, I moved to Minor, but seeing everything is quiet and PMs were getting silent too, I decided to call it a shift and logged. Angel Message Dump - aerelm - 08-18-2010 [font=Book Antiqua]Pulled a Half an Hour Shift, Although I was thinking about making it longer, decided to call it a shift because things were quietly strange for Server peak hours! Seems everyone were busy. Still, answered a few Questions and Also helped with a Transfer. First, Someone PMed me about Order Missions, and I directed him to Isis. Then, Another person was asking about Guard IDs, and their difference with normal IDs. I explained the main difference about the Allowed Ships and also told him how to get a Guard ID if he wants to. Same person contacted me after a while asking about Bombers. Seems He was rather confuse if he can use a Bomber with Normal Navy ID. So, I reminded him that Rule-wise, Bombers are same as Fighters. There was also a rather interesting Question, about Indie Traders and Borderworlds Tech. Seems the one asking haven't noticed the line on top of the Chart stating BWT and Dromedary are Open Use, so he was not sure if an Indie Trader can use BWT Or not. I explained it to him, and he also asked about OSC in Tech Chart, so I told him to look up "Liberty Corporations" on the Chart. Later, After a few quiet minutes, I got contacted by a friend who needed help with a small Transfer. So I helped him with the Equipment he wanted to move and then after a while decided to return to Pennsy and Call it a shift because things seemed to be pretty quiet. Angel Message Dump - n00bl3t - 08-19-2010 Pulled an hour long shift. Not much happened. One person asked about inactivity and wipes. (Apologies, I was delayed in answering. XD.) Another I helped set up mining. Helped another with a price check on equipment. I would like to thank the other players who helped me out in answering questions. Thank you. You have no idea how hectic it gets when you get bombarded.:) Angel Message Dump - aerelm - 08-19-2010 [font=Book Antiqua]Pulled a Nearly 2 Hours Shift, Well, Actually, wasn't thinking about going on my Angel, Just made a new Character and was going to do a /restart when noticed 3 people arguing over System Chat about Server Rules! So, hopped on my Angel and tried to calm them down. It took a few minutes to get the System Chat quiet, because after all, Pennsy goes crazy from time to time! Seems 2 Pirates had Pirated a Helium Miner who was above 30, and had killed him when he had refused to Pay. But the Miner was not leaving the System, So I explained the Rules to him and he decided to leave and come back in Four Hours. After that, Someone PMed me and asked about possibility of joining the Wild. Seems he was kinda disappointed when he realized the faction is Invite-Only. Meanwhile, someone else PMed me and asked why Corsair Guns on a Navy Ship is not allowed. I directed him to the Tech Chart, and later answered his Question about Navy Guard System, and gave him Co-ords to Virginia Jumhole. Funny is, a person contacted me thinking I'm an Admin! Well, He was only curios if a certain situation was against the Rules or not, and I explained it to him and also mention I'm not an Admin. Later, when I decided to move to New York, helped someone with the /ping Command on the way, and also answered their other question about Tech usage and IDs... As usual, just directed them to Tech Chart and Forums. After that, things went strangely quiet, and after a while I moved to Gamma. Gamma was just as quiet as NY, so I just spent some time having casual chatter in Local Chat and joking around with a SCRA in PM. When I saw nothing was going around the Corsairs Land, I decided to move to Alpha and see if anyone needs help there. Someone was curios where can he get a Mini-Razor, so I told him to check Omicron-81 or 85. And others were busy with their own work... So I had a nice Non-Angel chat with one of the Ships for a while, and meanwhile answered a PM about Tech Chart and usage of Bottlenose Gunship with Mercenary ID. In the end, moved back to Pennsy when I got PM from a new player who needed help for starting up. I told him about general RP atmosphere of the Server, and directed him to Forums and reminded him of some Rules as we moved on. Also, told him about a few commands and helped him get a Rhino and we started mining Helium. Once he was good to go and had learned the Basic tricks, I decided to call it a Shift and docked. Angel Message Dump - neko_soilder - 08-21-2010 I did a really short little shift yesterday, it was about 15-20 minutes long, i only helped one person with a Rep problem he was having that was causing him not to be able to accept missions, none the less i told him to do the police missions first so that he may do the military missions when the players rep was higher. -kiori Angel Message Dump - Bobthemanofsteel - 08-24-2010 Pilgrim loadout, Anti Cheat, going to conn, Class nines, server crashed Pulled a half hour shift tonight. Helped people with turrets for their sLiner, what the Anticheat booting was, Rules on bringing caps to Conneticut and the location and explanation of Class 9/10 weaponry. Then the server crashed or something. *shrugs* -[The_Angels]Bob Angel Message Dump - Ash - 08-24-2010 Alright so I haven't been the best at keeping up to date on my shift reports but heres a few I can account for over the past few weeks. Two relatively long shifts last week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mostly sticking around Bretonia and Rheinland with the odd venture out to the Omicrons for a few Corsair and Order inductions. They were both as active and exciting as to be expected. Mostly quearies about rule infringement and a variety of role play issues. The week before as I recall i had three shifts all rounding to be about two hours each. For the majority of the time I stayed in Liberty around Erie, but occasionally led a few newbies out to Kyushu for practice trade runs. Yet again, the majority of quearies being about rules and role play. The week before was quite an empty one. Only a single shift as I recall. Mostly due to technical problems i've been having. Quite an unremarkable shift. Today I trekked from Erie to Omega 41 for a change of scenery. Helped out a few people with renaming issues and general advice. A BAF admiral fancied his chances at obtaining a Rheinland Battleship for the Bretonian fleet which I advised would be very unlikely. But he'l most probably go on the hunt for a Council or Outcast one just as much. Naturally I stressed he brought it up with the community or the admins before he did anything rational. `Ash Angel Message Dump - Ash - 08-25-2010 A decent shift today. I've moved away for a while. Getting away from it all in Pennsylvania. Found a nice quiet spot in the Omegas to sit and do my work which these days tends to be mostly long distance. Today i've been busy helping a variety of people from all over. Helped out two people in the Sigmas settle a dispute over a pirating corsair capital ship. Im glad it came to a happy ending, well, so far, but I have faith. Also a number of problems concerning technology usage up around Kusari, just a simple signpost job; aaand some fella in Liberty with a few rep troubles. That's the day so far. I'm still around if anyone needs a hand. `Ash Angel Message Dump - Kazinsal - 09-01-2010 I've said this in the chat, but just to make it official. Bobthemanofkittehs~ is, as of this thread, no longer an Angel. Stay tuned, and keep helping spread peace and knowledge to Sirius! You're all doing so very well! --Troy |
