Rheinland Warship at Java after Jumpdrive Failure I was contacted by a Rheinland Warship named RNS-Kronprinz that claimed to have stranded in Tau 23 after a failure in a Jump Drive test run. I have heard rumors of the existence of this technology and got a scan of the device when the ship was close to Java. After having explained the circumstances, the commander asked me politely whether we could supply the vessel with 1000 units of H-Fuel, which I decided to organise discreetly via the Lost Star transport Faint Hope. The Commander paid for the H-Fuel, then suddenly he switched on the Jump drive and started tractoring floating H-Fuel. Weird light pheonomena started, as depicted in this guncam shot. The light became weirder and denser, encompassing the complete ship in a whirlwind of energy. The picture says more than my descriptions. The Battleship needed a supply of H-Fuel during the initiation of the process. It obviously could not hold the amounts necessary as it was tractoring all the time. Then there was a glaring light that blinded everything for a moment and a nanosecond later, the huge Battleship was gone. I received a garbled call from the Commander, that he had arrived in Omicron Minor before contact broke off and not in Rheinland, as he had planned to. 2. Injury in an Accident After a Colonial Battleship hit my Lhotse while undocking, my fighter was catapulted away for 3k in less than a second, before the Lhotse slammed into an asteroid and I regained control after a few seconds of confusion and shock. Luckily the shields held, even though the hull received damage. I was ordered to report to MedBay and had my neck checked out. I will be only on emergency flight roster for the following 2 weeks, only code orange and red for me. Sorry, the Doc was very clear. I advise fighter and bomber pilots to keep the safety distances at all bases. This could have ended much worse. Independent Miners Guild Comm System (GuildComm) - AeternusDoleo - 04-13-2012 **** Incoming Transmission **** From: Johnathan Sanders To: Guildcomms Subject: Southern freeports situation Guildsmen, As you may or may not yet have heared, relations between the zoners of the southern Freeports, including freeport one, and us have deteriorated. This is largely due to an incident with Rorry's crew over Freeport one, one we firmly believe to be in the right on. The Zoners have demanded compensation from the IMG for this altrecation in their base perimiter, a demand we have rejected. In response, the Zoners are denying docking rights to IMG vessels on the freeports in the Omega and Omicron regions. I urge everyone to keep their heads cool and let all of this blow over. Neither the Zoners nor us will benefit from a shooting match between our groups. Business as usual therefor, although keep an eye out for opportunists that might attempt to take advantage of this situation, especially when passing Freeport one. The remaining Zoner stations in the region are not regular ports of call for us regardless, so I estimate the impact on our organisation will be minimal. Stay safe out there. **** Transmission Closed **** Independent Miners Guild Comm System (GuildComm) - psychotrix - 04-13-2012 **GuildComm Active** To: General IMG Comms Encryption: High From: Andy Austin, currently stationed at Java Station Subject: Hessian base supply; Captain changing on vessel Giant.Sloth Greetings dear Sirs. Today I was part of a convoy that, among other runs, delivered some construction materials on the Red Hessian base "Diamant". The first delivery on my behalf was of 4600 units of Optronics (Shot 1). The second delivery was of 4600 units of Robotics (Shot 2). I did not manage to record the name of the base while docked, but the other transports of the same convoy can confirm the delivery. Shot 1 (4600 units of Optronics) Shot 2 (4600 units of Robotics) We, then, tractored in 4600 units of uncut diamonds extracted by local miners from a local asteroid field as payment. ----- ----- On another issue, I would like to annouce that I will be stepping down from the position of captain of my recently assigned transport, the IMG|Giant.Sloth. I have decided to let a faithful crew member, named Jacob Wallace, have the captain position on the Giant Sloth. I will now make a brief description of my experience with Jacob. A short while after I got my Hegemon class miner, back in California, I met Jacob as I was searching for a capable, politically independent crew. He too shared my vision about the corruption on Liberty companies and expressed his wishes upon endorsing an independent business. He agreed to join my crew and contribute for my mining business. Later on, he also shared my wish to join the IMG and, since then, we have become good friends. However we do have our ... differences of opinion, and he has developed and expressed a wish to ... let's say, be part of a more lively action. He is not as "loving" of diplomacy and dialogue as I am. In the meantime, when I was assigned the Giant Sloth (formerly known as HiyamaBridge), I had to pick it up from Osaka Storage Facility and take it to Java Station. However, that first trip on the Giant Sloth was rather traumatic, as the transport went under heavy attack and was destroyed on Kyushu... Luckly my escape-pod was returned unharmed and a recently acquired insurance managed to pay part of the ship's loss. Jacob was growing bored of being part of a miner-ship crew, so we agreed to transfer him to the Giant Sloth. A later cargo run was also under heavy attack, but luckly our escorts managed to destroy the offender. While I was quite scared for my life and my crew's life, Jacob was thrilled with the event and kept saying that we needed more of those to really feel alive and some adrenaline. I have barely used my miner since, and my previous mining crew was growing bored, as I was onboard the Giant Sloth most of the time, doing cargo runs or updating it's navmaps. I have grown wary of the feeling of constantly having to be on the look out for pirates, routes, dealing with unreasonable demands or threats, for fear of losing the ship and possibly our lives. I was never too much of a arms-master. Jacob, on the other hand, loved the thrill of out witting pirates, even attempting to shoot at them from our turrets and other foolish suicidal tendencies (he is a very good fellow, but I really do not understand his eagerness to get into the heat). I have therefore chosen to step down from the Giant Sloth's command, and go back to my beautiful Lithovore and the mining assignment. *smiles* Jacob, on the other hand, wants to get on battling ships, but for now, he agreed to stay on the Giant Sloth and get to know more about transporting routes, pirate routes, possibly exchange of knowledge and experience with other IMG fighter pilots or gunboat crews (or allies), etc... So now, I will be dedicating exclusively to the mining operations and Jacob will be on the Giant Sloth's command. Best regards to all. Andy Austin out. PS: Needless to say, Jacob was rather amped by this issue regarding the zoners on FP1... But rest assured, he will not do anything stupid. *smiles* **Message End** Independent Miners Guild Comm System (GuildComm) - JonahC - 04-17-2012 ~~~~--->Incoming Transmission ~~~~--->To: IMG ~~~~--->Encryption: High ~~~~--->Connection Established Greetings Guild Masters and bean counters! The "Brimstone" facility, a Solar operated outpost erected in Tau 23 fell victim to a sustained attack. I do not have figures yet on how extensive the damage is or if the station is salvagable. Several dozen lifepods have since been picked up and delivered to Java, where the survivors are now receiving care. However, a word of warning. A group stating to be affiliated to the "Maquis" has claimed responsibility for this attack. They have taken a severe anti-Sirian stance. It appears a splinter faction of the Maquis intends for hostilities with the Guild. This is unusual given their close relations with the Council. I am not convinced the ones claiming to be responsible are indeed Maquis. Nevertheless, I would advise to remain vigilent, and treat Maquis ships, especially groups of them, with suspicion. Please keep an eye out for unusual activities on their part. The Gallic Navy has made a public statement, signaling their intent to hunt down the offenders. I have requested the Tau patrol assets to tighten the perimiter, especially around Java base, as it is the most vulnerable installation, given it's function. This should not affect our operations significantly however. We've weathered the Outcasts for decades now, and although there have been losses, our operations continue to provide many guildsmen with a better future. Solar was new to the environment that Tau space holds. As are these "Maquis". And they will fare no better then the Outcasts. In Tau space, we have the home field advantage. Stay safe out there. **** Transmission closed **** Independent Miners Guild Comm System (GuildComm) - SpaceTime - 04-19-2012 INCOMING TRANSMISSION [font=Arial]Source: Camp Lister, Coronado system Submitter: André Prideux Recipient: IMG GuildComms Subject: Delivery Reports Encryption: Standard Bonjour messieurs, I was recently asked to make some deliveries to the new Blood Dragon base along with IMG|Porcupine and IMG|Really:Broke. Noone tried to follow us and in Chugoku we only encountered suppliers belonging to the GMG| and Order| While conducting my last supply run (Quantum Multiplexors) however there was an incident in New Tokyo: When I was taking the lane from Shinjuku to Yokohama, a Samura| Ryuujin was also going that way. My docking sequence failed and when I was going to try again the impatient Kusarian captain force his way to the trade lane damaging my ship. I asked him to give me money for the damage he intentionally dealt on my ship and he refused. Fortunately, soon afterwards a [KSP] Ahodouri contacted us and told us to wait [1] [2] When he came he examined our testimonies and decided that Samura|Ichikawa owed me $75,000 for the damage dealt to my ship [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] The Samura captain laughed and declined to pay. Soon afterwards a Hogosha ship and a Farmer on a Corsair Gunboat appeared and threw insults at me and demanded me to pay money for insulting the "honour" [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] Fortunately in the fight that ensued, my ship wasn't damaged while the [AFA] Imperator was destroyed by the [KSP] Ahodouri along with the help of a [KNF] bomber. I believe the showing of these 2 vessels in the area wasn't accidental and it is highly possible that the Samura| vessel invited them as I've read the documents regarding their secret cooperation. This is highly possible as the Farmer and the Hogosha knew what was going on before they even reached the area! [1] [2] After the fight, a [KNF] Battleship appeared as well. The officer asked a few more times the Ichikawa to pay or follow him to Narita without its cargo but the Samuran captain kept refusing. In the end Samura|Ichikawa was destroyed by the [KSP] Gunboat and the [KNF] Battleship [1] [2] [3] I now see the importance of supporting the Blood Dragons by putting an end to this system called Samura. I have taken more photos of the incident and I'll present them as well, in case they are needed. Furthermore, while we were unloading our cargo to Kameyama, an Order| vessel told me several things about a Kusari system named Tohoku which contains infected Kusarians. Exact footage: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Another day, I was contacted by Napoleon|IDF and I delivered Robotics to their new base. Due to the size of such project, preliminary survey had to be made to insure the sector's survey would be concluded in a reasonable amount of time. Furthermore, some systems have been surveyed as per the board's request. On 20. of April 819. A.S. the survey was completed and on 22. of April this report was finalized. The assignment requires that a suitable location for the base construction is found which was separated into the following parts: D1) Preliminary survey of the Sirius sector using Zoner and the Guild's database D2) Requested system surveys which hold greater interest then others to the Guild 2) [color=#CC6600]PRELIMINARY DEPOSIT SURVEY (D1) All systems excluded from this survey are listed and the reason(s) why are written next to their name. The Tau and Omega systems which do not hold any ores interesting to the Guild were also viewed from a political standpoint, while those that have will be surveyed as per request. [color=#CC6600]Omicron systems are excluded from the survey due to Corsair Elder Council, Outcast Commonwealth, Order and Mindshare claiming sovereignty over it's space and strong opposition from my security pilots. However, due to a number of fields which contain alien organisms and artifacts, they might be included at a later date for purposes of establishing a base that would serve our Research and Exploration division. Firstly, I would like to congratulate the guild on their success of building the new station and give my apologies that I was unable to participate and feel I owe an explanation. An unfortunate encounter with an Outcast pirate near the Cali base in T23, hours before Falster Station was scheduled to be built, left my ship badly damaged. The IMG pilots stationed at Java were not able to arrive in time to save me, as I was unable to send a distress signal in time. Afterwards, the remains of my ship were transported to T44 Singapore Shipyard for repairs. Sadly, I sustained a concussion, as debris from the explosion hit my escape pod and I required medical attention afterwards. Despite my earlier readiness to assist in the building effort, I was unable to arrive at the building site. Later I heard that the guild managed to set up the base in a short amount of time, which was even more impressive they managed to do it during a massive Corsair offensive. I therefore am ready to make up for my abscence by giving my full attention to the further construction of the base and I am including a detailed [color=#CC9933]REPORT of my first delivery of essential building materials. I received a list of needed materials. Many were busy supplying for the base including Mr. Bartholemew Black captain of IMG|Porcupine who agreed to accompany me on my first Sirius-wide hauling mission. Mr. Black suggests we mine Silver before getting Optronics from Planet Honshu. Mr. Boston who was currently at Freistadt Base kindly agrees to fill my cargo with ore, free of charge, in the mining fields. Afterwards I had a rendezvous at Freistadt base with Mr. Black. We arrive at Roppongi Station where we are inspected by Kusari Law Authorities for illegal activity. We were cleared to continue to unloading the silver shortly after. We reach Planet Honshu and load Optronics. After a similarly uneventful journey back to Falster we unload the Optronics. """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" I would like to conclude by extending my thanks to Mr. Black who was a great help. He informed me about the common trade routes IMG uses, helped me map a few jump holes and was very kind to answer any questions I had, as I am relatively new to long route trading. To him I also attribute the absence of any pirate encounters. Overall it was a safe and uneventful mission. Recruit Harry Langner. Out. It's been a while since I have been at the command of both the Stork Class Transport Train Giant Sloth and the Uruz Class Battle Transport Princess Fiona. I have had a hard time having to deal with the paperworks, maintenance and crew regarding such vessels. While I am more enthusiastic of risky runs and favor the Princess Fiona, not finding an adequate captain for the Giant Sloth has put a tremendous strain on me. After extensive talks with the crew of the Giant Sloth and with the help of their former captain, Andy Austin from the Miner Division, I have decided to officially step down from command and crew of the Giant Sloth. The new captain of this transport will be one of the original crew members from back in the day when the Giant Sloth was named "Hiyama Bridge". The new captain is named Kaneda Hoshiko. Mr. Hoshiko was a colleague of our dropped-out pilot Jirou Hiyama and as such, has expressed the will to change the name of the Giant Sloth back to Hiyama Bridge as an homenage to his colleague. Me and Austin have expressed our opposition to this name change as it was done to elude some of our enemies, including those that forced the dropout of Jirou Hiyama. But the Guild knows better if this name change is to be allowed or desired or not. In the meantime, I am growing weary of the command of the Princess Fiona. I seem to not be quite fit to run bigger ships and their crew... I seem to have very sharp opinions that most of my crew does not share. While they all are loyal to me and to the Guild, many of them seem to become increasingly divided and the crew as a whole is loosing its working potencial as a team. One of our technicians, Mr. Franz Hartmut, originally from Rheinland, has left in the meantime and joined the Mining Division, after having amassed enough credits for a Surveyor class Fighter. With this situation, along with the increasing threat of pirates (certain Maquis, Farmer Alliance-oriented folks and even a particular group roaming Rheinland) plus my desire to train my military and fighter-pilot skills, I hereby express my wish to step down from the command of the Princess Fiona and join the Paramilitary Division, including a full academic and practical training on all kinds of fighter skills and tactics. As soon as I have discussed with my crew a suitable captain for the Princess Fiona, I will provide further details. As an informative note, the Giant Sloth is currently docked at Aland Shipyard, Omega-3 and the Princess Fiona is currently docked at <strike>Freistadt Base, Omega-7</strike> Falster Base, Omega-3. Fly safe every one, Jacob Wallace out. **** Transmission closed **** |
