no one has time for that shit
but if my skimming gathered enough information, it was a rule for your ID and IFF to match as closely as possible, but for reasons unknown, they just removed it?
im assuming 2.6 is what it used to be but they seem to have gotten brain damage and typed more words than needed

A quick look through Wayback Machine tells me there was never, at any point in time (at least from 2012 to 2023), any server rule that said that you must have a matching ID and IFF while being an indie, the closest thing is a rule from 2013 that mentioned that IDs are not known inRP and players should be treated by what IFF is displayed, which is a RP approach rule, not a restriction.

RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Saronsen - 05-27-2023

since there still isnt a developer feedback, im posting it here

stop using =LSF= icons and dont use them in the future for your posts either
if you dont want player involvement, dont use player assets
thanks

Thanks for the feedback, but it's a pretty nifty icon. Who originally made it so I can ask them for their permission in case we want to keep using it? Thanks.

You cannot impersonate staff member. Impersonating player faction by staff is fine by them. Zero quality control there.

dunno, its years old
just use the generic Liberty icon, i dont think literally anyone will complain
id be less annoyed if you had just asked though

RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Toaster - 05-27-2023

That one's on me, folks. I'll be sure to use a different icon next time, unless of course you grant permission to keep using the =LSF= icon.

RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Saronsen - 05-27-2023

well since you asked

RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Saronsen - 05-27-2023

unrelated, im not a fan of two developers swinging by to insult me and my faction because my faction doesnt agree with the RP reasoning behind one of their events
i dunno why my faction previously being official matters, since my opinion and the existence of my faction didnt matter to you until it spoke against a poorly planned operation the agency finds to be detrimental at best
if you think im sabotaging the mod, im many years behind others in that regard.

RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Blake Wayne Van Leer - 05-27-2023

Well, we aren't boycotting it, just not many people are free - I appreciate anyone who organizes events. Having said that I do think the event premise and story are just well - bad storytelling, don't blame LSF boycott. I thought it was a meme in flood when I read it at first. The thing is, you guys don't have the competence to write this stuff - none of you have truly identified with navy intimately in the past, it all seems like a badly written wet dream of unlawful narrative writing without any nuance Big Grin
