Another eventful day for the pilots of the Crimson Cross. Myself aboard Arancione and soldado Loyola departed Malta in the company of a Bloodrose transport and the escorts from independent families that they had managed to line up. [1]
The convoy met up with these escorts in Tau 023 [2] and proceeded through the Barrier Pass to Liberty, going through Ontario to Colorado to reach Rochester Base in New York. There, as we were leaving that base, elements of the 5th Liberty secondary fleet caught up to our escorts, who stayed behind to fight them off. They bought us time with their ships; our original escorts were rather quickly shot down, but both transports got away unscathed. We met up with Inquisitor Espinosa above the star and proceeded to our next objective, and left Liberty. [3] [4]
After exchanging our munitions on Kreuzberg and setting out, we were intercepted by a wing of VWA revolutionaries, whom we had had...run ins...with in past. They were none too happy to see us, and demanded 20 million credits for us to pass safely.
We took exception to that. We opened fire on the Inquisitor's command and, while both transports were heavily damaged, the VWA paid for it with all but one of their fighters. Guncams from this encounter are unavailable from my perspective. It is noteworthy that there was a flight of Blood Dragon scouts in the area, but they did not engage us nor the VWA.
After rudimentary repairs were completed we uneventfully returned to Omicron Alpha [5]....just ahead of a large Core raiding party.
The response from Malta was overwhelming, however, and after a pitched battle they were repulsed. [6] The final ship dived at the star and killed itself rather than risk capture by Maltese forces. An estimated ten fighters, a gunboat, and a battlecruiser were destroyed in all.
Soldado Loyola deserves special mention in these incidents, serving Malta and the Cross admirably. Also of special mention is the AI known as Minerva, who assisted us in the battle (even shooting one of the fighters down) against the Core. That will not have escaped their notice.

This intruder also used to pilot the Order ship. It was stopped by me, the pilot said that she was running from the kusarian agent in Sigmas. It's really hard to believe, it seems that I followed her way and there was not detected any kusarian contacts on the way to Alpha. She also asked about our Holy Faith and Spirits, but she did not to listen to me and ran back in Beta. So her question was just a trick to distract my attention. Anyhow the intruder was turned away.

We had move to intercept course and spot the enemy, the battle itself was not too long. One of the enemy vessels was put out of action by me. The Corsairs were pushed back and I hope they have lose any desire to act so silly for some time.

[[SUPREME]]Nothing major to report. Today's patrol merely started as an incursion into Kusari in an attempt to do some "acquisitions", but after a time, had no luck. Eventually we contacted a Sisterhood patrol that was in the area and engaged them in conversation for a time. Nothing major, just some personal interaction.

Eventually we were informed of a number of recently stolen goods aboard Ainu; basically just a number of crates of civilian clothing and a small amount of equipment. I figured Malta could use the supplies so after a brief exchange with the dockmaster, we were on our way.
The Chrysanthemum agreed to fly as escort for a time so once we'd loaded up the L'ira, we headed out for a rather uneventful return trip. The Chrysanthemum briefly expressed interest in assisting against the Gallic threat so, it is possible that wish some proper pushing in the right direction, we can acquire some more assistance on the Tau-Front. Like I said, the mention was brief regardless.
Either way, once we'd made it to Malta, we all said our goodbyes and headed in for a landing at the Vale.
Like I said, nothing major. I'll be on Malta for the next few days to do a few things and will likely head to the Temple of Tarxien for a few hours to handle a matter with some of the recruits.
