RE: Texas Separatists - Information & Feedback - Omicron - 10-11-2014 Switch to Xeno ID or Pirate ID. Even Liberty Rogue would suit you better. The first will allow you to expand upon the idea of kicking the undesireables out. The second gives you more of an diplomatic capabilities should you pursue that avenue and LR is non-organised bunch of criminals - potentially suitable for more of a criminal background for your faction without pissing too many people. Keep in mind that isolationist movements will screw you over in every single way from shipbuilding materials (Rheinland, Omegas, Bretonia), cheap adv. electronics (Kusari), fuel (Sigmas) and even food (California and/or Stuttgart being closest planet-farms). Due to the way the rogues are, a texas faction is more believable then a splinter faction of HF going counter to HF goals. you'd also have access to more tech, more connections and less issues overall. If you interpret separatism as a path to making a "Liberty for Libertonians" by forcing out undesirables, then radical Xenos works with this faction concept. Liberty Rogue approach: Less nationalism, more about the desire for power to control your own destiny. Joining up with a larger pirate organisation to try and disrupt lawful and corporate operations in order to isolate the system, and possibly even take revenge against those who wronged you. Pirate approach: Less ideological commitment, more diplomatic flexibility. Tread carefully so as to avoid turning local criminal factions against you. However, you are not constrained by the overarching goals of a parent faction, so you can do as you please.
