Actually I dont see problem here with gank or not.... since if we think this is space flight and fight simulator, you should not expect enemy will fight fair and 1v1... in war shits happen sometimes you are outnumbered other time you are in advantage...there should not be any rule now and in the future that should change this koncept. For 1v1 fight you got connecticut...damn dudes deal with it

I see ganking as less of a problem than people being hypocritical about it in order to protect seal-clubbing.

The problem is that true balance is really hard to eyeball even if everyone is using the same skill levels and equipment. So many factors. For example, one ace in a good ship can be in a fair fight against five noobs in a bad ship. One razor gunboat, etc. Just happening to have the wrong chess pieces on the field for the fight that got played today. VHFs and Solaris Carriers.
But this is flood. Also, Karlotta, I loathe to say this aloud, but your continuous sense of sass and humorous repartee has enamoured me for years.

Balance is really easy to estimate if you know your own kill death ratio.
The more your kill/death ratio is close to 1, they fairer you fight.
If its higher, you fight unfair, if its lower your enemies fight unfair.
