The system we have isn't perfect, and the tags aren't entirely clear, but the average community member is willing to help walk you through the game, in-game. Like, poke any THP| member for help, and I guarantee you they'll definitely help you, for example. You can try to create a trading company, but if they do not agree, they will put you in the wheel, by not making things easier. You lost a lot of stuff but you were allowed to keep your access. Others were outright banned for less cheating before you than what you did. You could be glad you got a chance to start over a few years ago, yet you still rant.
No need to mislead new players with a biased one-sided version of your story, telling only half of what actually happened. This thread is not about you. RE: New Player: First Impression of Discovery and it's learning curve. - NoMe - 07-07-2018 you thyrzul, you think to simply man, the ships involved was only 5 miners who has mined in t29 the hydrocarbon field, i'm not sure on the 5 chars maybe less, all of it to interest some people to come in a system supposed to be a democratic system, who is in real a militaro"facho" system. do you think you are the only with a right view on the things, and if the thread is not about me, it is not based about what you think too! it's an impression right? like it, they can know how it's very bad to CHEAT if it is not at the right place use your hight position to deplace it elswhere. you know my friend, when you come 5 hours or less by month and when you come to work to stabilise the democratie, there is a real difference. but not needed to repeat it all time. try to have a different point of view RE: New Player: First Impression of Discovery and it's learning curve. - Ruairi - 07-07-2018 this is getting heated, can we get a temp lock so this irrelevant drama cools off for a bit? RE: New Player: First Impression of Discovery and it's learning curve. - NoMe - 07-07-2018 Sorry, my first post was sufficient! RE: New Player: First Impression of Discovery and it's learning curve. - Manu - 07-07-2018 (07-07-2018, 07:09 AM)SnakThree Wrote: Because awfully looking tags might discourage players to create or belong to official factions. I would certainly not be in factions with horrible tags. SnakThree, You're arguing for the sake of arguing, cause there's no argument there. Cause the examples you used like Ageira~ , Gateway) or Kruger| is basically what I proposed: [L]Ageira|(000)- [B]Gateway|(000)- [R]Kruger|(000)- If you read carefully what I wrote, I said the [Origin] may not be compulsory for those which doesn't need it although it would be great knowing where are every faction or group come from is not that of a big deal. I also said (000) is optional for branches and also said factions could write whatever design they want after |. But this way cohesion comes first. So basically leaves the factions you're talking about almost the same as wrote them. Algeira| Gateway| Kruger|. I see some arguing about getting into the factions and learning. That's exactly why the topic was made for. I'm pointing out there's a problem for new players correlated between the learning curve of the confusing tags and the time and things to do in between they learn all of this. This is my point exactly. Some of you are arguing with longevity and probably 300 active players in mind. Maybe in your days, when you started playing this was the norm so it was easier to jump in the action. but when I started playing there was only like 16 or 17 players in the server in a HUUGE MAP. New players are most likely not to join discord or take time to learn the tags in order to role play if they don't see an active community online on top of this looking like its catered to already established members there with impossible tags to role play right away. they will test drive the game, see there's basically no role play going, no one is around and then decide to leave. All I'm saying with this is, help new players jump into the role play right from the start and participate as quickly as possible without having to do a leap of faith jumping to discord or having to memorize dozens of abbreviations while not seeing activity in a Huge bunch of maps. Don't make it complicated for us. RE: New Player: First Impression of Discovery and it's learning curve. - SnakThree - 07-07-2018 But I don't want Ageira| tag as it was used in previous faction. I want Ageira~ just the way it was created by the founder of current official Ageira faction. There's no argument indeed, as there would be less official factions if we had to use compulsory awfully-looking tags. RE: New Player: First Impression of Discovery and it's learning curve. - Silver - 07-07-2018 I agree with the youn' blood. It makes sense for tags to have a standard form throughout Sirius.
Shinny idea, Manu. Keep at it. <3 |
