"Hai. So this is how it will be."
-The stranger closes his eyes serenely. He seems to shrink, bending slightly at the knees, shoulders going slack. Only the whitening of the knuckles on his sword hand betray total calm.
-The combud in his ear blinks blue. His left hand rises to tap it, slowly. He opens his right eye and checks the room.
"Hai. Hai. Arigato."
-he taps the bud again, and his sword hand peels open. He regains nearly two full inches as he rises from his akimbo, his features slackening as his eyes come fully open.
"Hogosha-senshi,"
-He looks pointedly at a table of Kusari businessmen in suits.
"If what I am sent to see is your work, I will return to show you the colors of my art."
-The stranger snaps a very short bow at the bartender, crisply spins on the ball of his left foot, and makes for the door, his topknot scribing a C in the air behind him
