Updating the Technocracy of our Situation

It has been quite some time since the Technocracy and us had a chat, or at least the kind of interaction where they are updated on our operations and what we're generally doing. Tied up on the dock at Valravn Citadel alongside '\S/'Cygnus for general repairs before our next stop. It's very likely that our signatures were noticed as soon as we entered the system, as soon as we disembarked, a small group of Technocracy vessels met us in space right above the Citadel. Better time than any to give them some updates. We had a chat, info was shared, and just like our former base in Kepler, they fully support our plans to rebuild, this time within their home system. Guess they want their partners close, don't blame them.

After our chat, another Freelancer crashed the party. I didn't stay long enough to find out who Rebecca.Harper was, but hey, not my problem. I moved to the Freeport then later initiated a blind jump into Leeds.

First trade expedition

It wasn't long after I had reintroduced the "Albatross"-Class into our fleet that questions started flying around about making trade expeditions. Organizing this trip into Gallia from Liberty surely did solidify the fact that our pilots need to have a chat and catch up with one another. Flying long distances with a modest load or cargo to get a reasonable payout at the end of it is all worth it. I managed to get Harrison and Muliah, flying the Aries and Auriga respectively, to Texas so we could fly together and bring some Premium Scrap from Texas to the far reaches of Gallia. Travelles through Bering, through Rheinland and Zurich to Orleanais. Our travels has us bump into a pilot from the Gallic Metal Service - Patrice - who guided us the rest of the way. Space is full of amazing people, I'm happy they had the time to help us out.

Space Racing

Had this one sitting in my databanks, guess I should record it on this little handy dandy internal communications thingo. The other guys found a race track. A damn race track. Had to fly all the way out from Inverness to Kusari to have a little look see. No surprise seeing an Orbital liner a few sectors away from the northern end of the Tottoti System. Muliah and Harrison were already doing laps by the time I got there. I raced, had a bit of fun with the other pilots. Didn't expect mines though... and that's where I had this real fun idea to challenge Orbital to space racing. Ha! This is going to be fun.

Peaceful world with violent surroundings

Bonjour!
Today I have ventured to Shikoku to the Ocean world Junyo, where Samura is experimenting with microorganisms from some place called...Kurile. The planet is quite beautiful, a sea of tranquillity so to speak.

Its orbit is much less tranquil however, I have witnessed Sirian violence at the hands of three different Kusarian sides - those that call themselves GC, KOI and GMG, who they are I don't know just yet. Maybe I will stick around this House a little more and find out! They all seemed to be amused by my Arrow and its lack of weaponry. Maybe amused is not the right word for the KOI pilot, who tried to acquire me as a gun for hire.

Bon vol, Pilotes.

Preparing Planetary Expeditions

Our routine flights around Sirius pickup various amounts of data on multiple subjects, our last one being the Neutron Star within Omega-41. After dropping off the information on our Research Complex within Inverness, I had the thought of testing our scanning suites on planets with different climates and weather to learn how to utilize our suites on many more kinds of items. Planet Elgin within Inverness proved to be the best subject at this time due to it being located not too far from our own base. Flying out there I discovered a Technocracy pilot was chatting to what I believe to be an Insurgency ship, though this ship was giving me mixed signals. Insurgency designation but Technocracy IFF. In any case this minor detail was not important enough to me to press on.

I asked the Technocracy pilot about Elgin, and to scan the planet due to it being covered in ice. I was informed that there are multiple thousand settlements on the planet, and one such settlement could interfere with my proving of Elgin. THis pilot advised to use analogue equipment as an alternative if the scans came back inconclusive or incomplete. I later landed on Valravn to pickup this equipment to start my ventures.

Cortez mapping

Good morning, colleagues. For those of you I haven't had the chance to introduce myself to yet, I'm Edward, the new employee. I've uploaded the cartographic report of the Cortez system, as per company protocols. Considering that it's one of the systems adjacent to our operational base and also the system with OS&C's main headquarters, I thought it would be a good starting point for our work. Wishing you all a pleasant day, and the first round of Liberty Ale at the SRC lounge is on me!

Dr. Batsak's Artificial Rift in Puerto Rico

Dr. Batsak. They have achieved something we have yet to do - generate an artificial rift. We had performed our own tests on the simulation suite quite some time ago, preparing to go through the process of generating one with the help from the Technocracy. Though this single researcher was able to do this by themselves. I admitted this to them in space, but I am rather impressed.

Their communication to us had us meet in Puerto Rico where they had showed us the rift. Readings of the tear showed it was unstable, and Batsak had advised the tunnel only works one way. Despite it not being part of my job, I had decided to take a leap of faith into the wormhole. My prediction was that I'd land somewhere in the Omicrons - and when I exited the hole at the other end, I was greeted with the familiar white tunnel of Omicron Kappa.

Batsak and myself talked more as we travelled towards Zurich. They intent on generating a second rift, though with careful tuning of the tech they used to choose there the exit vector is placed. I offered my help on this project, as it may be an accomplishment for the Starfliers.

Undecided if I should let the Technocracy know about this. About Batsak's success in generating an artificial rift, and about him wanting to do it again.

Omicron Pi System

Anyone flown out to Omicron Pi? New strange weird looking rift opened up recently in Delta. Took a decent lap around the system and it looks pretty deadly if you're not careful. I found a few shipwrecks of some old exploration group, all their black boxes pointed me to some distant sector. Since I fell asleep for half of it, it was a long flight, I saw a couple bits and pieces in the location described. Zapped them into my hold. Got a couple of experimental weapons and another that looks... alien? I'll pass it off to the techno guys. They seem to know a bit more than us.

I know we don't exactly deal with alien crap, but this looks... alive? Lucky I got a cloaking device. I'll bring this thing back to Inverness.

SRV-Sol
New Research Ship

This one has been in the cards for a while, only until now we were able to afford it. Welcome to the Starflier Research Vessel, designation "Sol"

This was an idea I had brought up with Burton before he got arrested for stealing one of the same "Enterprise"-Class liners from Curacao a few years back. Right now, it's a freshly constructed ship, without the internal components that would normally be filled with the luxury rooms and halls of Orbital's design. Thanks to Deep Space Engineering, they were able to prepare this one for us.

[Image: image.png?ex=6569b5ff&is=655740ff&hm=ecc...eight=1404]

Our next steps with this is to design holding bays for the newly discovered materials within the Unknown sectors. The same ones have started to be charted by our pilots. This ship will serve as both a mobile research platform, better equipped than our M.R.V. fleet, with also a generous cargo capacity. Our pilots will needs to run by Orbital's flight course to fly this one. One I intend to run myself too. At the moment, the vessel has been moved to Inverness, moored on our Research Station. I intend to contact both the Junkers and the Technocracy on the construction and retrofitting of our research equipment.

I will be posting progress on the ship as it happens here. Best to keep our teams updated on new developments.
