Again Jinx, awesome stuff.
I agree with Grimly in second part of his Statement, which concerns familiarity with X-wing.
I'd definitely go for first model, however i'd like to see it Merc/Vigi tech as was currently planned instead of Orca, which doesnt need any remodeling.

I like the original one. Let me revise that... I LOVE THE FIRST ONE!! If textured properly, that GB could bring me back to Freelancer, and the Discovery server.

Yeah, make a heavy one with the first model, and make the second one a lighter bottlenose type affair.
My main issue will be the balancing. How exactly, do you make it so that people dont drop their current GB for it, and the make it asppealing to combat professionals? If its markedly inferior, It wont get used. Period. Eagles arent made specifically crappy, so dont make these really crappy either. I mean, you dont see most corps using flashpoints, so dont make a flashpoint-strength- gunboat and expect it to be useful.

I like it, It would fit well for my junker. There really does need to be a generic GB sorta like the Renzu ships.
On a side note:
You think my junker could use a zoner GB right now? Im not going to pirate with it.
