Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - AJBeast - 07-22-2010 ' Wrote:I also kind of find it amusing how people are trying to say that the story written by Igiss about the RP of a faction created by Igiss doesn't make sense. You all know more about the UC than the creator of the UC? Perhaps before you all started defining your RP you should have waited for the writer to finish the story so you wouldn't have conflicts? Perhaps? Just a thought. I think it's more like giving us a sandbox, letting us build our lovely castles in it and tossing it to the side after a few months just to give us a new sandbox to build castles in. No offense, but my castles were in the other sandbox. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - Igiss - 07-22-2010 Quote:I won't lie, this bit flat out pisses me off. It shows that the devteam, or Zelot, or whoever came up with the idea, can pull new factions out of their rear ends without any prior roleplay or gigantic writeup, whereas it takes *years* doing it the straight forward way. Ok, let's make clear who is responsible for what. Kusari forces get stuck in Bretonia, with no other way to get through to Kusari other than using some very remote path via Liberty (which won't be a good idea since both Bretonia and Liberty won't be too happy with a Kusari fleet flying around their home systems). Gallia is now the main hostile power for them. No more point in fighting Bretonia. It's a suicide anyway since Bretonians, however tough the situation is, still outnumber them in a bad way. That's my part. Idea to get the Emperor to Bretonia was Kusari faction leaders' RP idea which I approved since it does sound interesting. Ronin and Emperor were written in by Zelot. But all of it was a collective decision. So, we are not really talking about starting a player faction out of nowhere. It is a way to reflect the storylinein the game. Nothing to do with faction creation for the sake of faction creation. Quote:If anyone were to make a faction of Libertonian raiders trapped behind enemy lines in Rheinland, I somehow wouldn't see it getting very far.I just had an idea of such faction the other day, calling them "Texas Cowboys" and styling them as racist rednecks. They'll occupy Bonn, Altona, Freiburg and Baden-Baden and will terrorize three systems like no tomorrow. This will have to wait until 4.87 though. (back to subject) Hogosha ships will not be present in Gallia, if that's what you are afraid of. Not now, and even if they will be later, it won't be more than a few border systems. Someone must deliver those artifacts, you know, and Gallic pirates aren't really in the situation to pass through a mine passage guarded by one GRN fleet from one side and another GRN fleet from the other. Let me just point these out.... http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65759 http://www.discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?...Gallic_Brigands (Definable goals/backstory) http://www.discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=The_Maquis (Definable goals/Backstory) http://www.discoveryfl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Unione_Corse (a dictionary definition of the word "Union Corse") Are the UC a smuggling faction? No, thats the Gallic Brigands job, the control 75% of the Black Market, and have the ships to prove it... Are the UC sopposed to be hostile to the GRP/GRN?....I dont know, they can supposedly land on lawful bases...but the relations thing says their sopposed to be enimies....but then again they can work together for...what now? "Cannot ally with any lawfuls except with the Gallia police or against non-Gallia lawfuls and unlawfuls" That dosnt make sense... ....................................................... Outcasts spread Cardimine... Mollies fight to liberate Dublin Blood Dragons want new government GC want Estrogen filled new government Xenos dont want foreign companies Hessians dont want Corsairs in the same room SCRA want to spread communism revolution Liberty Navy fights to protect Liberty from Rhineland BAF about to relive the Blitz...and fight to survive Point is....most factions have a purpose.... My interpretation is....that nobody knows what the UC is for... Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - Aoyagi - 07-22-2010 So... What does the current (future) Kusari think about the IMG? (I may have missed it in the first chapter) Does that mean that any Kusari combat vessel spotted in Tau 31/23 and east 29 will be shot/asked to GTFO? What about Aoi Iseijin and nomads in general? I could see them quite often in 23. Nommies I mean. Where are the Ronin going to park at? Why didn't the Gallia use the other exit as well? The Outcasts would have some fun... I like the story though. In your face, Kogen! Quote:we will definitly ned better civilianships to keep this kind of pace goingNo you don't. Eagle is already one of the best ships around. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - Magnabyte - 07-22-2010 ' Wrote:I'm not sure how selling artifacts to Gallia through the UC is "taking over". The UC need a supplier, the Hogosha have the supplies. Put two and two together. Having discussed the situation with a few Hogosha council members we sorted things, it was mostly a knee jerk reaction thinking that a group with similar goal and to a certain extent RP, wold flood into gallia and leave us out numbered. We know now that is not the case, so the issue from the La brise point ofview is dropped, and I lookforward to the negotiations about trade in the future. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - Exsiled_one - 07-22-2010 Uh, yeah, ronins were idea created by few of us and it was awesome, as well as texas cowboys would be awesome. so basically it's not a ninjabias it's something that just landed nicely on top of it all Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - Akura - 07-22-2010 ' Wrote:So... About the same as it is now. GRN signed peacy treaties with both the IMG and Kusari. ' Wrote:Does that mean that any Kusari combat vessel spotted in Tau 31/23 and east 29 will be shot/asked to GTFO? No, they shouldn't really be there anyway. The JH between Tau-23 and Kyushu is being removed, Kusari just shouldn't be there. ' Wrote:What about Aoi Iseijin and nomads in general? I could see them quite often in 23. Nommies I mean. Aoi Iseijin are covert, now part of the KNF, they'd do as the KNF would, avoiding the Taus. Nomads in general, will do as they always do, attacking Sirians, but mostly ignoring Gallic Forces. ' Wrote:Where are the Ronin going to park at? Leeds, Newcastle etc. Any of the Bret systems bordering the Taus. ' Wrote:Why didn't the Gallia use the other exit as well? The Outcasts would have some fun... GRN have control of the top exit. Nothing in or out. Why invade the Outcasts? Their targets are Bretonia and Liberty, to the south. Top exit is ignored. ' Wrote:The JH between Tau-23 and Kyushu is being removed, Kusari just shouldn't be there. Lolwut? Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - Akura - 07-22-2010 ' Wrote:Lolwut? Seriously, check the new map. Edit: Apparently it was a mistake on the leaked on, the newer, final one has it. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Kusari in 818 A.S. - Aoyagi - 07-22-2010 ' Wrote:About the same as it is now. GRN signed peacy treaties with both the IMG and Kusari.I see. Well if I was a Kusari official and I saw some Gallic ships hurling from T23 with hostile intents, the first question would be addressed to the IMG and it would be "WTF man?" But meh. ' Wrote:No, they shouldn't really be there anyway.Well, for example, they could get there via Lewis, where the Gallic numbers don't need to be that high. The Ronin I mean. A covert ops ship. I can still see the JH on the map though...is Gallia that powerful? Like, they say "I damn thee Kyushu jumphole!" and the jumphole says "Yes sir or madam! I shall be gone in no time!" That would also hurt some trade routes, no matter how they changed. Come to think of it, how are GC going to get their orange dream? Are they gong to run through GRN, GMG or Order/Hunters? GMG I guess, I read somewhere that they are on neutral terms... ' Wrote:Aoi Iseijin are covert, now part of the KNF, they'd do as the KNF would, avoiding the Taus.So they won't be eager to infest Gallia as well? Aww...what a shame. By the way, I've never been attacked by a nomad. I talk with them =^.^= ' Wrote:Leeds, Newcastle etc.Yeah, I meant do they have, like, a base? If Nagasaki was moved someplace and would have good prices for ship hulls and stuff that fleet needs, that would be totally cool. ' Wrote:GRN have control of the top exit. Nothing in or out.I was flying in and out some time ago >.> . Almost like......nevermind. And they could invade them because they have drugs and because they attacked them in the first place. At least that's what some news ingame said. Thanks for answers and keeping my chilly color =^.^= |
