I wouldn't think I had caused such an impression after hitting you that hard in the wallet.;) Rp-er of the 2007 on Discovery - Jihadjoe - 12-30-2007 ' Wrote:Hey! Hell it amused me. but it did give me something to do in an otherwise rather dull day. However the post in which i nominated you, i probably shouldn't have posted, given i had just drunk half a bottle of jack daniels and probably shouldn't have been let near the computer. :$ so ignore it if you want. but given it is based on one incident it probably isn't deserving of being on here. i leave it up to you gronath and ripper, remove it if you wish. Rp-er of the 2007 on Discovery - tfmachad - 12-30-2007 Hey, it will sooner snow in hell than the day when I'll reject praising. Specially since I believe that was the first and only time I met you in game. I was amused that you still remembered my character's name. Thank you very much.:yahoo: Rp-er of the 2007 on Discovery - Zapp - 12-30-2007 Zapp - Hi Hans! Oi! Hans! Hi!!! *all RM stare suspiciously at Hans because an Outcast is treating him like his best friend* Rp-er of the 2007 on Discovery - LancerZero - 12-30-2007 I agree with Verg wholeheartedly on this one. I've been on another message board where they tried to do something similar to this, and we shut the poll down for the very same reasons. Well, not EXACTLY the same; it is a very small board, with only half a dozen active members, so it wasn't too hard to read all the RP from the year. However, out of all the people that have put so many hours of work, applying their talents for everyone's sake, how can we insult all others by choosing just one? I mean no offense to Treewyrm, I have the utmost respect for him; but it seems to me that it's something of an unintentional affront to the many excellent RPers on this server to simply choose one to put out there as the best. And bias shows, as well. I think Marburg has done an exemplary job bringing Islay to life in his RP stories, yet he garnered not a single vote. And he's just one of many that have put a lot of thought and paragraphs into this message board, making it richer as a whole by their efforts. And, more to the point is Hoodlum's post: I arrived in October, and so I can't really say I'm qualified to vote in a "best of 2007" affair anyway. That's my opinion, anyway. Rp-er of the 2007 on Discovery - Treewyrm - 12-30-2007 Personally I tend to think there can't be best roleplayer, it's like saying which book is best of all. Sure, there are things worth reading and not, but matter of fact is that it all comes down to the personal choice. Myself I too have preferences in what I like and what not, so naturally people will be choosing they like. So, let's just enjoy the game, participate, play your characters in game, write stories, experiment with new ideas, concepts. It's a living world there each one of us making it. I've been busy, I'm just popping in real quick. I also realize I'm a bit late in all of this voting happy hooplah, but I just needed to put in my two cents; however delayed. I unofficially nominate Kress for making the Workers Front and the Front itself for making the hardest of core fighter pilots in Sirius... Whenever we all manage a gathering that is. Six fighter kills myself (-Assisted-), three assisted Rheinland cruiser kills, lots of fearful dodging of vigilante BH capital ships. Eh, probably a few gunboats. Oh, yes. Two LSF Gunboats... Hee hee. I'm a better wingman than solo fighter though... Hence all of the assists. That was fun. Good times... ... Well, thats all I guess. Bye bye! See you all in a week. P.S. Thanks for the 1/2 of a nomination, Chopper.:P Rp-er of the 2007 on Discovery - chopper - 01-02-2008 :lol::lol: It wasn't even a half, mate. I said that i would nominate you, if the thread name was a bit different. Anyway, my point remained. Great job for the scientist guy. |
