A certain death penalty suggestion. - Vladimir - 08-29-2011 Yeye. Or just permadeath for ship np. A certain death penalty suggestion. - SnakThree - 08-29-2011 Though on the other hand, griefing might be with purpose now, so I would be against it. A certain death penalty suggestion. - EisenSeele - 08-30-2011 Have it be an opt in thing. Those who choose to lose more than just their regens can feel free to /selfdestruct after dying. After all, if it was actually your skinny butt in that cockpit, would you really be so brash and bold in telling the pirate to kill you?Everybody is pointing out the traders who go "just kill me i no have cargo", but only one or two people have pointed out other people's PvP abilities. I've been here for a year and a half, and I'm still not a good fighter pilot. That doesn't mean that if there are credit penalties like proposed here, I'm going to run from every danger. There would be no point in playing anything but a Zoner in that case. People shouldn't be penalized just because they can't fight. You can say "Oh, just learn how to", but not everybody CAN learn how to fight where they win 90% of their battles. A certain death penalty suggestion. - Magoo! - 08-30-2011 LNS|Tank has been killed by Bomber.Swarm 70.000.000 credits withdrawn ERR: Insufficient credits - removing one-tenth of vessel mass. The only issue I see with it. I didn't read six pages to see if others shared this realization. A certain death penalty suggestion. - SMGSterlin - 08-30-2011 This may be an RP server, but it is still just a game, not real life. People want to go out and play around with their toys to have fun, not die in their battleships to get fined a large sum of money. Sacrificing fun and causing raeg for the sake of realism isn't, nor will it ever be, good. A certain death penalty suggestion. - CzeReptile - 08-30-2011 Stop realism. Its not worth. If so, I want dynamic player driven economy, events and factions being really what they are, not just empty things. It is good idea that would prevent alot of stuff, but also mean increased powertrading, more sanctions and above all, its not what would really hurt community at the moment if talking about realism imo. Much more issues related to realism, then paying fee for dying. @Sterlin - having fun in battleships. YOu do realize what you hear most of the time? Buy a snub. A certain death penalty suggestion. - WildBill - 08-30-2011 You do realize that quite a few ships would need to be rebalanced. OSC ships for example. RPing OSC is hard enough as it is, there's low profits, and extremely expensive ships. Pirates seem to think that carrying VIP's means you can afford 30mil demands. Yes, its true. Just after buying my first luxury liner I was hit with one of these demands. I didn't even have 2mil credits to my name. Their reply "make those VIP's cough it up, they can afford it." As if the game mechanics allowed for me to charge these fellows in my hold. So of course I took the pvp death. What other choice did I have? This idea would ruin gameplay for new traders just starting to move up. If you had to pay for the pvp death on a ship like this (expensive ship to purchase), it would be a deal breaker. No one would want to play it (or pay it). A certain death penalty suggestion. - CzeReptile - 08-30-2011 ' Wrote:You do realize that quite a few ships would need to be rebalanced. As said, nobody needs a trading job. Let us buy credz for RL cash!:D A certain death penalty suggestion. - Zahas - 08-30-2011 No :/ If i keep dieing i'll eventualy run out of money and i'm too lazy to make any money lately and i'll end up quiting and then the server will lose a player |
